If we can not go to any games our membership will be a donation to keep our club financial ...

Not everyone can afford to make donations to professional sporting organisations. Where does that stop? I have tickets to multiple events that have been cancelled today and will be expecting a refund on all of them!

This is also true, the easiest way would be to nominate a refund amount up to 100%.

I'm sure many fans would still give a little bit of they could afford it.

I've lost access to a lot of events today, 3 music festivals, a couple of concerts, at least one Leichhardt game with the potential to lose more concerts and rugby league games. If all those events took the no refund route I would be out of pocket thousands and thousands of $. That is just not going to happen, clubs will refund for games missed, it is the only logical response!

I don't disagree you are entitled to a refund. I'm saying I hope it is easy for people who want to contribute to be given a simple avenue to do this.

I'm sure they will keep your money if you ask them to! lol

Bee interesting how this works legally. You didn't buy season tickets you bought memberships which entitled you to entry to games - that thier are no more games where you can legally gain entry doesen't mean what was provided wasn't reasonable from a membership point of view. Now from a goodwill perspective they will refund some of it prob most of it but not all and prob not till the end of the year when its clear what you have missed out on.

Well this is up to the individual ..maybe we all should send our refund bill to the Chinese communist party in Canberra !

They advertise the number of games you can attend with your membership though.

I am sure you will be compensated! Don’t panic there is enough of that already ...

The nrl better assist the clubs with refunds as the club shouldnt be left solely holding the can for it.
Races are next on the list.
i have a Golden Slipper runner next week in Mamaregan and will not be able to go and watch it lol
im sure with Captain Pete running the League and Racing nsw everything is in good hands

To our valued 2020 Wests Tigers Members,

You will likely have heard by now that mass gatherings of more than 500 people have been cancelled from Monday, March 16 onwards, which is the advice that has just been announced this evening by the Australian Federal government.

Based on current advice, it is likely that, beginning in Round Two, all NRL Premiership matches will be played behind closed doors.

Wests Tigers now need time to further assess this situation before providing further communication to Members, so we appreciate your patience while we work through this unprecedented situation.

The complexities of Memberships are different for each club across the NRL, and the processes and policies need to be established by all to ensure, as a game, this comes as a hinderance to as few people as possible.

Wests Tigers will also continue to work closely with Ticketek and the NRL in regards to refunding tickets for games affected and mitigating any associated costs.

Now, as much as ever, we value your constant support and understanding. Rugby league, and indeed this club, is known for its resilience and a determination to never give up, and we know we will work through this together.

We would ask that you hold tight and await further information, as we won’t be able to provide concrete answers over the phone or email at this point.

When we have further information to share with you, be sure that we will, and know that we whatever capacity we play in, we will continue to give our all for you — our Members and fans — this season.

If you have any further specific questions, please contact Wests Tigers Membership team via membership@weststigers.com.au.

I can imagine their phone ran off the hook yesterday afternoon

I get that people would like refund for something they are not going to get but I’m unsure why the rush to get money back. If the games hadn’t gone behind closed doors the money wouldn’t have been on offer and more money would have been spent at the ground or getting to and from. We won’t know what a refund or similar looks like and what’s fair until the situation plays out and it’s evident how many games/people have been impacted.

Which would have caught them off guard as most seasons people usually get to about Round 7 or 8 before demanding membership refunds.

This current crisis within our great game of Rugby League has got me going in the opposite direction @old_man_tiger.
I wasn't going to renew my Wests Tigers membership this year, but I will now.
