Not a fan of Burton but that was not acceptable, it was a hell of a lot lower than a spear tackle, coat hanger, or any hip drop that can occur unintentionally in the blink of an eye.

Filthy grubs should have been rubbed out of the game for a long time for such a low gutless act.

NSW need to understand that some guys thrive in this environment. Clubland becomes a bit boring for them…the monotony of 7 months of the same shit week after week, playing with the same guys, running the same plays, operating through the same structures. They grow an extra leg when the chance comes to do something different. They become invigorated. Origin is different to Club, Exhibition and Test Match games. It is a different version of the sport. Take Dane Gagai and Ben Hunt for example. Perfectly fine club players, but stick them in origin and wow…both have individually won us games even though future immortals were playing.
Origin is different. Club form means little. NSW has had a poor record of identifying origin players. Latrell has always been this guy. It is also quickly shaping up that Moses, not Cleary is this guy as well.

Moses will return to being the same choker in G3. QLD were really poor.
 
Billy said after the game they are still QLDers which means no changes. As a NSW fan I am glad QLD has a firm policy of not changing their line up.

Isnt it funny that Madge got sacked for being to hard on the players,yet the NSW side last night played like a hard well drilled outfit waiting for the tough stuff to happen,unfortunately Qld couldnt handle the pressure...
Madge is a hardened old school coach,unlike Sheens the game hasnt passed him by...
All you Madge knockers can eat crap...he knows the game,our admin had no idea...

Rep footy isn't coaching.
Comparing an NRL coach to a rep footy coach is like comparing a restaurant chef to a housewife who buys a preprepared meal from a supermarket and throws it in the microwave.
Players arrive at rep games already pre cooked for Maguire to press the button on the microwave.
Bravo.

So right, look at big Mal, when he was coaching Australia he was just the front man for the media. Game plans and tactics would have been a group effort between the players and the assistant coaches

Paul Vautin coached Queensland to a clean sweep. It's not coaching.
To compare the complexity of running a club team with the myriad of skills and management involved over 12 months to sending a group of the best players in the world out to play is just nonsensical.

In this years team you can see a fair difference in play style when you don’t have Yeo controlling everything from lock. TBF they look better with Robson dishing off the mark and not playing alot around the ruck.
Reminding me of the Ennis v Farah days in origin. Api is probably not going to play the game again.

I'd love to see Cleary with Murray at lock. Even in the grand final last year, Yeo was off when it was 24-8 and penrith's comeback started with cogger and cleary playing like hughes and munster (without a ballplaying lock in the way or at first receiver). Cleary/Moses could work but it would be unfair on Moses to drop him to 5/8 when he looks more impressive at halfback in origin than cleary. Cleary essentially played the 5/8 role in the grand final

I love it when there is a bit more white in the jersey (not too much). This is perfect. Our home kit should have more white in it
