I wanna chuck $50 on Manly for the spoon, my brother would kill me though
manly have a lack of forwards up front, no established hooker and having to makeshift with brooks to get Walsh in to the team. Not a happy place at brookvale at the moment. I have heard though Turbo is ready to go so expecting a big year from him.
very keen on manly to run last.

Started writing it out then realised its a pointless exercise because I have NFI. There's probably 3 or 4 clear front runners (Broncs, Roosters, Penrith and Dogs), 3 or 4 strugglers (Knights, Saints, Cowboys and maybe Manly) then a toss of the coin for everyone in between.

Really reinforces we are going to need a bit of luck this year. You look through our squad and think "thats a top 8 side", then you look through about 15 other squads and think the same thing

1. Penrith
2. Raiders
3. Roosters
4. Storm
5. Sharks (mechanical snd consistent, no threat to top 4)
6. Dolphins
7. Parra (l hate putting them here but look at their 2nd half of last year compared to the dogs)
8. Broncos (not going back to back. Teams only have to defend Walsh. Wheels fall off at some point is my prediction)
9. Souths
10. Tigers [which i classify as a failure. But using head not heart]
11. Dogs (see comment for parra above. Not sour grapes, but they faded bad and I think that once their defence starts
12. Titans
13. Warriors
14. Cowboys
15. Newcastle
16. Dragons
17. Manly

1 to 4 I have no idea how to order them
14 to 17 likewise

Weird season....no clear best or worst (Penrith and storm slowly been caught up to and us and newcastle improved slightly)

Also found it very hard to place Dolphins, warriors, souths and dogs.

Expect to be wrong with every single position above lol

Yep, I’ve been calling us a top 8 side since the start of last year but seriously, when compared to the other roughly 14 teams pushing for top 8….injuries and some luck will decide it. I’ll take the punt we will play finals still.

1. Broncos to have a strong season but chuck a Raiders in the finals series and go out in straight sets.
2. Roosters will have a strong season and go deep.
3. Penrith still have a classy line up and will be firing again.
4. Dolphins will not only break the duck, but they’ll also have a strong year
5. Eels will be the big improvers for mine if Moses stays fit
6. Dogs are building nicely and look ready to have a crack.
7. Melbourne will drop back as their pack is weakened.
8. Tigers 100% heart over head. All big names must stay fit. Coaching is likely the weakness.
9. Sharks may becoming stale. They need to unleash an X factor to go on a run.
10. Warriors will compete most weeks but will need a few things to go their way to make it.
11. Raiders have a tough roster but showed how dependant they were on their 5/8 last year. This season they are missing a halfback as well. If Strange goes down, they are in trouble.
12. Cowboys will be better this year but the mid year lull is their weakness.
13. Rabbits should go better this year if players can stay on the field.
14-17. Titans, Dragons, Knights and Manly are likely to be the bottom four. Having said that, all of these teams will cause upsets during the year but will struggle to find consistency. Manly could well earn the spoon.

parra will be in the 8 if healthy

Its as simple as watching how they ref certain teams and penalize others, look for the leg up

Sheer optimism for the tigers this year. Best squad and depth they've had in a decade. They can get to 7th, but need a good run with injuries and to win the games they should win... Which they usually don't. 😐

I think the dogs have messed up their whole structure with Galvin. Crichton is the best centre in the NRL though.

Dolphins overrated imo, but always surprise me.

Bunnies will be terrible this year. They invested so much in Mitchell but I think at this stage of his career and being moved from fullback his motivation will disappear. Can't believe Wighton won a Dally M. Forgot he was still even playing....

Manly for the spoon. They sure picked the wrong Trbojevic as captain. I think that has to hurt Jake and Turbo is injured half the year anyway.

Seibold won't last the season.
