The convincingly better team lost, it saddens me
Mate, the team who played together and took their chances won.
NZ we’re not convincingly better. They barely managed to score against 12 men, then got run down after dominating possession.
I won’t say Australia were the better side, but they were the tougher, more determined and skilful.
I’ll take that at this level everyday of the week.

You just proved what I said. They outscored the Kiwis because Bostock carried the team. If you think the Aussies were the better team, you must have been watching a different game.

If you want to rate each individual player, most were very average.
He didn't carry the team he took advantages of the chances that came his way and showed why he was selected for his skill set.

Lots of unconvincing performances.

Trell did sweet fukall. Preston did nothing, Liam Martin did nothing. Harry Grant was average.

they cant win world cup without ponga
Yeah I'd agree , but more importantly for you bet , can they beat England without Ponga

He was so rocks and diamonds tonight , threw an intercept pass , 3 others don't find the man , bombed a try when he had Walsh one on one .....and then the linebreaks and the try .....very Benji like

I think we definitely finished stronger - Dearden made a huge difference. We had some luck in the first half that kept us in it but you have to play 80 against quality opposition.
Squads like NZ, Samoa and Tonga have to front load their points.
Their big blokes don’t have the motors to keep up with hard arses like Australia’s smaller, yet incredibly tough pack.
If it becomes an arm wrestle, they can’t compete.
That’s why these games are called Tests…

They are rattling off all the obligatory post game cliches but I thought that game was pretty crap. It was close but that doesn't make it good. The corner post put in more effort than Fatrell who was 20m offside all game huffing and puffing.

I'd agree a lot of errors , but they still have a few weeks to iron out the kinks

I think england and Tonga are both good chances now of beating kiwis without ponga
will be interesting to see those head2head markets

Preston did nothing? He played 80 on debut tackling his arse off - often in last ditch efforts and was still charging into the line right to the end. Liam Martin similar but to a lesser extent. Trell defended well, he wasn’t brought into the game till late which can be worked on. Harry is Harry.
The balls our blokes showed is what won them this game. When the game doesn’t go your way and you still score 5 tries you deserve your flowers.

Think about all the dropped balls throughout Origin, throughout the Finals series. How many tonight? Some of these blokes haven’t played in 4 or 5 weeks.
That was a gutsy win and is what a lot have said they want from Test footy. A true contest that examined the character of both teams. Was it a great spectacle? I think some great tries were scored and both defences committed to the task. What about the effort? Top shelf for mine.

Tragic for the tournament to lose Pongha
Yes both him and mosses are big losses , I was just looking at the hit Ponga did that damaged his arm and it was a head shot , think it was Munster , but that shot should come under some sort of look by officials it was nasty
