2026 - Tigers Pre-Season Video

Hopeys attitude was actually pretty good
He’s what 28/29 ? I know he’s only playing nrl in his second year , but he’s been around the game a long time . Getting 3 times a week from 630pm to 9pm , getting home then getting up at sparrows to do weights to then go to work , to then get home and do it all over again . He’s have a fair idea of how your brain get betray you if you let it . T

To guys like him and Murray and Herbert , I’d imagine getting to train during the day , and all you have to worry about is getting to work on time , would be a godsend .

It's 2 years in a row now we've listened to the Talk the Talk and it gives us all a very warm and fuzzy feeling.

But this is the season for the team to Walk the Walk, pre-season form was encouraging but it means jack if it doesn't progress into the real stuff, look what happened to pawa in the 1st round.

This goes for Benji too, defense/attack/gameplans all have to improve if we want to make the finals, may the injury gods be kind.

I found the video interesting as a window into the pre season training regime and as an insight into the personalities of a few young players, Benji looked and sounded very focused and direct. I hope it resonates with the players and, like a few others have said, it actually bears fruit during the season and doesn't end up being another fluffy promotional tool. A genuine question though, is it typical of all coaches to insert the f word constantly while making a point? Madge was a shocker but is Benji the same?

I LOVE U BENJI

Can think of a few of these over the years:
"Wests Tigers are always in the fkn fight" - Madge
"Youre either on the bus or off" - Ivan

The broader point Benji is making around the time for talk being over is right, but I do think ive seen this movie before...

Its nice content, and I get why they do it, but ultimately its meaningless if results dont follow

You thinking martin.meredith?
Joined us from souths...terrific ball player...developed a heart condition and had to quit RL
Yea maybe . I just remember we had a prop last name Meredith in the lower grades . From memory I think he had real promise as well . Just couldn’t put it all together unfortunately

I dunno mate . Much like last season he sent the stragglers to fat camp , and made a show of it.
I’m not sure that was happening in years gone past , with that much ruthlessness anyway.
You didn’t cross the line in time.. you , you and you … see ya later . That’s pretty cold after literally the warmup and a 2 km run/ broncos . First day ?
I think in years gone past they would have been given time .

I like it, don't get me wrong, and he certainly made an example out of guys like Miller and Faagutu even Da Silva when it was clear he wasnt committed.

Madge was pretty notoriously a hard arse, everyone talks about Ivans high standards. Just saying weve heard it before. Not against the doco really, just taking it with a grain of salt until it translates to consistent on field results.
