2026 trial games (non WTs)

Not sure why there's any love for the Panthers on this forum. I'm celebrating that they got rolled.
Not much to celebrate when the sides are such a miss match, if I was the Cowboys I'd be more worried about the second half scoreline.

My initial post was -
" The Panther's depth looks questionable. A couple of key injuries across the park will hurt them this season "

Hopefully that gives you some context Hank

All I can think is how crap it is that Cowboys first grade team are already playing a trial, and will have a proper game of footy weeks before our first grade team even get a game

Having the bye in round 1 again is such BS. Cowboys are going to be weeks ahead of us match fitness wise by the time we get to round 2

if I was Benji in round 1 I'm doing a full trial game, full NRL squad getting reps in.
Yes but can you the condemnation Benji would get if someone got injured in the Rd 1 trial

The trials already a reminder of the talent in the competition in teams below the eight last season - Dolphins and Gold Coast both dangerous squads with loads of size and strike

Ivan gets his player's to believe in themselves

Nathan without Ivan coaching him would not have played origin without Mitchell Moses being injured he would have been Mitchell's backup

Nathan struggles at origin because he doesn't have that step up in class and it's Ivan's great coaching that makes Nathan look better then what he is

Mitchell is the better player on all levels

To bad Ivan went back to Penrith
cleary has a better passing game and better defence than Moses. Cleary any day of the week over Moses as best number 7 in comp and Cleary doesnt panic unlike Moses

if dolphins forwards stay fit they probably make the semis this year. $1.75 a bit too skinny a price at present, if they can get out to $2 worth a bet
Think dogs might drop out along with canberra and New Zealand.
if no injuries to any main players think we make the semis finally

Manly reserve grade defensive structures looking very good though not heaps being thrown at them. Large looking pretty dangerous as a ball runner and Walsh looks like a genuine 7. Lafai probably the best forward on the field against some NRL regulars named for warriors.

Manly and Warriors also looking big, fast and physical. I hope we look the same in our trial later!
