2026 Wests Tigers Injuries

Where is Latu , he can’t be injured again surely , if so it is starting to get a bit ruff on spots in our club , we need to build with new strong Recruites , Latu taking a spot could be very poor decision , I know he is young but gee he can’t take a trick , he sneezes and gets hurt , I know it probably means we have to sign him to keep Sam but gee I’m not sure where Latu sits now , he is means to be our starter next season with Andrew’s , I suppose we are lucky we have madden as back up , Sam at $ 750 / $ 800 and latu at $ 300 at present , he has not been played correctly I feel but where is he now , what’s his issue not playing nrl or cup

His hamstring was 1-2 weeks so they were always going to err on the side of caution. Best case scenario, he returns against Penrith but will be off the bench imo.

Latu has played in 15 matches this season so far (12 NRL, 3 Cup). He did miss the first 3 rounds in the final stages of his shoulder reco rehab + he missed 3 matches with suspension so he's been relatively injury free this year, albeit managed carefully with minutes.

Without being a S&C expert, I'd say they will get plenty of work into him over the pre-season to ensure he is ready for 80 minute halves football next season. Maybe even strip a few kilos off him to make him a bit lighter.

What a relief to see Will Craig named as reserve for the KOE!

On a brighter note, great to see that Javon's injury is not listed as an ACL, as some reports mentioned. Rather, it's a calf sprain, which should be a nice early rest break for him.

On an even brighter note, great to see that Schuster has recovered from the triple bypass, rectal pec tear in his throat and is listed to play this weekend in KOE. He will be our smokey lock 5/8 next year. I expect him to be very strong behind our resurgent pack feeding Samuela and KPP juicy try assists all day long.
