I was highly critical of Bula late last season, but as others have pointed out it was his first season in NRL he was probably playing somewhat injured and fatigued and could be forgiven for dropping off a little at the back end of a long draining season.
I had doubts if he was worth his rumoured 700k per season contract and that was based on not seeing enough of him in regards to attacking involvement and creativity.
To be honest I was happy with what I saw from him yesterday, it looked like he’s been working hard on making improvements on the attacking part of his game and showed signs he will be a very dangerous attacking player once we lay a decent platform.
