TBF the forwards was our main priority for this season and we did well in this area. It's in a few threads on here, this one included.

“We had to strengthen pack, that was a priority. We needed a specialist prop or two was so we were very happy with Klem coming,” coach Tim Sheens said.

Fair enough….

But should it have been the priority? The backs are weaker this year with the loss of Hastings…. more should have been done to address the backs in my view…

So, he's either having a terrible time appointing a Coach who can be successful or he cannot provide a workplace that people can thrive at. You don't miss the top half of a Comp, year after year after year if you're being governed well. Madge had Cap constraints because he allowed Ivan to thrash our Cap on hacks. He forgot our Pathways, watched our demise and then proclaimed we are now a "Pathways Club". Do people actually buy his bullshit?
This is common sense, he cannot continue in charge, we will never be successful with him as CEO...8 years and counting.
 
The Board ,the football committee coaching staff all need to go asap last night games is one the worst performances i have seen in a long while. And Time Sheens should have the balls to walk in on Monday and resign.

Believe his (Sheens) words was to cherry pick a few players with 100 games plus, specifically backs, for this year. That the spine and forwards was most critical to address. This was after the Cowboys game and before he was appointed coach, obviously prior to Hastings and Madden leaving though. Which has ofcourse been another setback for our roster.
So I'd say (recruitment around) the halves depth has also cost some attention.

That setback is his creation. He chose Brooks over Hastings and Madden. Unforgivable

Yes and no. We needed both but as it’s worked out over time the forwards have strengthened
( well on paper anyway) whilst the backs have not.
But you can’t have one without the other and right at the moment it’s pretty to pick ant real outstanding players.
We must let go of the Hastings discussion. For whatever the real reason, he has gone. Madden thought he would have Hastings/Brooks in front of him so bailed early.
Now all we left is “you know who” and a couple of spares ( Wakeham/Smith).
Just have to struggle on, which is why in another link, I have suggested API to 7 this week, Brooks to 6, Laurie to 1, Douhei to 3 and Simpkin to 9 .
A little left field , why not, coz what we’re doing currently is so wrong.

Stand by what I said - I'd have both.

Maybe even Hollywood. WT's people who know Footy and are good with Numbers.
Even Walks is in Finance these days I think?
