I'm really struggling understanding this decision. It's just stupid right.

Absolutely. Aren't these the attributes Sheens was looking for in a fullback? How can the players or fans respect Sheens when he refuses to reward combined performance and effort in order protect a sadly out of form favourite of his.

3. Played Brooks and AD as our halves. In my opinion this hasn't gone well.
4. Moved AD to fullback. In my opinion this hasn't gone well and Staines and Laurie have both performed significantly better than the coaches choice.

They also had all last season to figure this out. So it's round 5 and it looks like we need to go to market for a bare minimum 2 critical roles.

How long have we had problems in our halves for. They've really stuffed up this issue.

It's just an opinion but I've seen him take plenty this season as well. I don't see him as being any worse than Laurie or Doueihi at taking bombs at fullback.

This whole circus started with an incompetent Board /ceo delegating the entire responsibility of running footy,our core business, to a 72 yo who had screwed everything he had touched for well over a decade
Keeping him as head coach post Madge has not only prevented us from attracting a senior coach,but triggered a litany of poor decisions the hilite of which is signing an untried Benji to a 5 year contract,based entirely on nostalgia and nepotism

Sheens has wanted to try Adam at fullback since the pre season. But he wanted to give him every chance at 6 given Adam was keen to play 6. He thought Adam thrived at fullback in the World Cup and being away from the regular contact in defence it will help to avoid reaggravation of his knee.

Yes, it's a bit of a psychological hurdle coming back, but when did Doueihi come back? Wasn't it near the end of last season? It doesn't take anyone that long.

Frankly, if this is any sort of factor at all he shouldn't even be playing. There's no doubt a higher risk from contact, but it's a high contract sport and if you can't handle it, then you can't handle playing in the NRL.

I actually do think he is a better fullback than Laurie because at least on kick returns he seems to be where he should.

Why they extended him I have no idea. The way I see it, he was moved from 6, is not good at 1, and doesn't have the attributes to play any other position. And this is in the worst team in the NRL.

I don't take any joy in it - rather, I'd love to be writing about how awesome he's going - but unless something drastically changes I can only hear England calling.

As for Laurie, I don't personally care about that pre season bomb howler in and of itself. It really never should happen, but so does sht I guess. Although, I can't remember this ever happening to any top nrl fullback....

The reasons I don't think he's a good fullback is because he is never in the right place defensively and he is never backing up in attack.

Btw, whatever context you place on the instagram thing, it's a stupid thing to do. Doesn't even seem like he has a good attitude.

He'll be no loss to the club at all.

Staines ostensibly came to the club to challenge for the no 1 jersey: He got his chance, did way better than Laurie, got shifted back to the wing (after 50 minutes or something) to be replaced by Doueihi who has only confirmed he is also a worse fullback than Staines.

Staines is a finisher. And a pretty good one. But I aint seen any evidence that he's a footballer. And certainly none to say he's a fullback - which is arguably the most or joint-most important position on the pitch. I mean, the rip against Herbie Farnworth is he wants to play fullback but he isn't quite up to the playmaking responsibilities. But I'd pick Farnworth over Staines all day and every day. Hell, I'd make him the captain of WT!

Brooks isn’t our only problem no 7 and 1 doesn’t really help. That’s half the spine, Doueihi has been rubbish, I’d say worse than brooks, at least brooks put his body on the line!

On top of that has outwardly shown his disdain for the club multiple times from wearing a previous clubs jersey, and cheering said club on vocally during a game, using social media to celebrate his clubs shellacking and playing the pokies until midnight before games?
