Buckets should have been our long-term Football GM and potential CEO - but dropping his daks to his secretary after a boozy lunch killed that!

I have been the direct manager for many young women of different cultural backgrounds - and this behaviour should be a career killer!

I truly hope the great Benji can turn this team around, but I’ll be watching without my colours on and as an observer, no longer a fan. I guess all bad relationships should come to an end.

Just read another piece of absolute tripe bagging the club by some goose called Dane Eldridge on News.com. Most of it is baseless rumour or just plain made up. How do these people pretend to be journalists? There appears to be no fact checking whatsoever. It’s this kind of garbage that pushes people to walk away from the club, baseless as it is.
I get that we are poorly run by the two clowns in charge ( fedora and Mr trendy) but at least base this click bait on something substantiated
Surely it’s the week to trash Souths- where there is proven trouble and discontent. But no, let’s continue to bag the tigers

Dane Eldridge is a warped cynic yearning for the glory days of rugby league, a time when the sponges were magic and the Mondays were mad. He’s never strapped on a boot in his life, and as such, should be taken with a grain of salt.


They actually put this at the bottom of the article for people with no sense of humour.

Someone should buy the moron a calendar for Christmas because I don’t think he realises 05 was almost two decades ago and we have been been the joke of the NRL for most of that time since (2010,2011 the exception).

What a mistake trying to involve the people from the most successful era in the clubs history.
Maybe they should listen to the Negative Nancy crew on this forum, they know better.

That's a whole lot of effort to say the club isn't worth putting any effort into.

It's not this though mate. There are a couple of different things for me and I bet heaps of different reasons for other people:-

1. I'm an optimist. I see heaps of positives. It could all be stuffed up but maybe they start getting it right.
2. I have no idea what the board or CEO or chairman do. I know they aren't on the field winning or losing games though.

I've been hearing the cub is getting things right for the last 8 years or so. Being happy with the current management is exactly accepting mediocrity in my opinion.

Oh so you’re happy to bring back a guy who was let go for exposing himself to his secretary? All because he was here in 05?

And how has involving people from 05 gone so far? We’re about to land a second consecutive wooden spoon under the leadership of Sheens who had now jumped ship and handed the reigns to a guy who has one year of professional coaching experience under his belt.

I hope Benji succeeds and I hold some optimism with Morris being brought in but to pretend this has been good decision making by the club is pure stupidity and ignorance at best.

im a third gen supporter, my pop followed magpies in the late 50's then my father in the 80's and i was born 2 weeks before the '05 grand final, i understand his frustration but that tigers DNA its in our blood, forever and always a tigers supporter.

From that I’m guessing you’ve only seen two good years when you were 5 or 6 ish and you’re still a die hard at 17-18ish. Well done.
May the football gods shine down wins for many years to come for your unwavering support through the tough times.
 
I understand the weak comments and the frustration from die-hards. But I believe the only way this executive team will be turned around is with fans walking. If any of them had of came out and said we answer to our fans, and we need an independent review of our performance or even one of them fell on a sword instead of blaming coach after coach after coach. We’ve had good rosters in the past and some of the best players in the league. But there has to be something wrong with the organisation with the attitude that’s displayed on and off field. I don’t care about negative responses, I love the team, but I hate the people who seemed to have broken it. I actually hope that the fans can put enough pressure on them for something to happen.
