$50 Million reason Wests Tigers are prepared to quit Campbelltown.

Lidcombe was very intimidating for opposing teams and fan in the 70s...i think we kept parra winless for 11 years there. The thing is it was our one and only home during my early years....we knew most times whether win or.lose teams coming there would go home thankful that was it for that sesson.

You dont get that feeling playing all over the joint.

You probably felt that at cambo maybe but i dont.
I know the lansdscapes changed hugely since then but Im envious of teams like raiders nq penrith with their one home ground.
For 25 years weve tried to appease half the fan base in one way or another to our detriment imo

So you made me lose 5 minutes of my life looking it up.
The Magpies went 7-3 at Campbo in 1991 and 8-3 in 1992.
Sitting on the hill those years was an experience in itself , the Campbo crowd was rabid.

So true but I was of the belief that Cambo would end up with around 9 games and LO 3 games

It's so important home ground advantage

Idk what the fixation is with one home ground. I mean, you don’t want 3 or 4. But there is no reason in a perfect world if LO and CSS were both up to scratch that we can’t play out of both permanently. Proof of that is the Dragons. Never have heard their supporters whine about alternating between Kogarah and the Gong.
it is only tigers fans who complain about multiple home grounds, dragons do not and they play out of wollongong and kogarah.

Tigers is self inflicted as we play a Magic round game and used to play a Tamworth game bloody stupid

Was that when we had wok..langers..thomas farrar etc etc
Yeah good team then and yes quite a fortress....i lived at maroubra then and wasnt driving didnt get to many Cambo games

Is another thing against Cambo, the notion that our 'owners' don't like the place. They love in the inner city, Ashfield.

Isn't there is some type of riff between the two 'Wests' areas. So, should they wear some of the problems of Cambo?
