DOWNVOTE! (why do we only get 10 per day?)

Most people think the clubs current approach to improving is excellent, doing anything more drastic would just add years on to any recovery from the last set of panicked mistakes.

The argument that a team has to somehow hit the lowest possible point before they can improve is so ridiculous it's stupid.

And the "fans" that demand everyone be sacked each time there is a loss put pressure on the people trying to make long term improvements.

There is no difference if it's the Spoon

True, new guys are given very little time to be stars in tigers teams. So many demand instant miracles from inexperienced 1st graders.

At least we are consistent.

Defence is largely attitude, these sort of results would usually get a coach sacked.

It's a meaningless (although undesirable) stat given how the game has changed this year.

The new rules heavily favour the team in possession and momentum snowballs resulting in higher scores. I'd suggest a high percentage of games this years have seen >40 points scored. Just this week there's been 48, 42, 68, 42, 66 and 52 points.

9 defensive efforts in a row of 26 points is not great, but it turns out that 10 in a row is unacceptable!

Stupid statistic - can't compare the game now to the past. It seems that margins between teams in games now are much greater than past years, certainly the top 5-6 teams are way ahead of the rest.

When did this go into the paper as I dont waste money buying that toilet paper with writing on it?

If we got it enforced after round 13 then why is it a story from 7 weeks ago?

We are Wests Tigers..... no more needed

Here's another record for us from the old Buzz Rothfield in the Tele:

TIGERS COP FINE FOR CAMERA COVER-UP

The Wests Tigers have become the first club to be fined by the NRL this season for covering up dressing-room cameras during TV broadcasts.

It’s happened twice this year with Josh Aloiai and Luciano Leilua placing towels over the cameras before and after games while the networks are trying to get fans closer to the action.

The NRL handed out a $5000 suspended fine after their Round 8 game against the Panthers. The fine was then enforced when it happened again in Round 13 against Newcastle.

**The TV broadcasters provide more than $300 million a year to cover the game** and get access to justify their huge investment.

Petty from the NRL. Good on the boys for covering them, I wouldn’t want cameras in my my dressing room either - it’s a private thing! ?

With the broadcasters paying $300 million to cover the game, i wonder what the fine will be to the clubs who have deliberately put out reserve grade sides this weekend? Surely thats worse than covering up a camera.

What did Lyin' Ivan get fined for saying the refs cheat to get teams back into games? Nothing from memory. Gotta love the NRL.

He got fined but it was reduced when the snivelling snake apologised. Didn't even have the guts to stand by his original comments which were spot on.

Meaningless "record" we won some of those games and were robbed in others. Never raised though.

Is it about results.... Or more about defense?

What about Brooks ...lets find another excuse to cover him

Stop the excuses ..look at the Sharks new players come in and make a difference ...especially in the forwards

Im not talking about Brooks.

Am i talking about the Sharks forwards eho have come in and made a diffetence

It still comes down to recruitment and retention ...

You cant blame other clubs because they retain better plsyers or rectuit better juniors

If we are talking about defense and making excuses I'd back Brooks as a defender up against just about every player in our team...and every forward bar McIntyre

In the area of defence I will agree with you, he has turned into one of the best defenders we have.

It's a very arbitrary stat. Doesn't matter if you're losing by 20, 26 or 40, if the other team is posting more points than you it's bad news.

Pity his main role is to create points
