It all makes sense now they got rid of robbie to keep taylor then got rid of taylor to keep the "big 4" which end up leaving! At least we got cleary out of this mess. Just waiting for noufaloma to leave now

To think some were convinced that the only way to keep them was to sack JT and hire Ivan.

How'd that work out?

Pretty good…

I prefer my team being directed down the park with composure, and a pack of hard running forwards.

A hyperactive egomaniac with the football IQ of a kicking tee, and the most flacid big body in the game moving on by their own volition is a God send...

It's great news isn't it. Taylor seemed to have no idea at all about coaching and Cleary seems great so far. This is turning out really good for us.

If we re-sign Tedesco. It will sting if we don't.

I'm looking forward to some fresh new faces next year. It seems like we've had the same group for years that have never got us into the 8.

New coach, new players, new era.

I agree it will sting of Teddy goes, but it may be softened by increasing our offer for Johnson.

I feel sorry for the club that gets this over priced pleb.
Happy its not us.
The attitude on this guy….. disgusting

Im not fussed as much of you aren't but i guess signing Matalino was as a replacement, we still need to add some more quality forwards. I have more faith in Cleary getting this done than i did with JT.

The first things that should be done though is strip him of the captaincy and put a media ban on him, if not for us but to stop him from embarrassing himself constantly ..

New coach, new players, new era.

The prospect of a new era is exciting. As long as no one mentions the word "rebuild"

I really dont see the silver lining that some are seeing just yet….it seems a lot like hope more than anything

I'm with you. If we lose Teddy and Woods, miss out on our intended targets and end up with over priced hacks there will only be misery ahead.

Yep
Losing Woods in isolation is fine, but losing him as well and Teddy and Moses… not a good look. Our club has copped a hammering in the press, and its only going to get worse.
I need a drink.

Me either, Ink. Everyone is talking about Matulino and Packer as though they are Lazarus and Webcke! Matulino I like, but he's had a bad injury and has been out of action for a while. Who knows if he'll return as good as before. Packer is another bog average forward, imo - looks ok with a great pack around him, but nothing special. We'll need a lot more than those two if we're gonna be a competitive team.

I certainly see the sliver lining regarding Woods, his money is much better spent towards other types of forwards. But its hard to see it with Teddy. Its great to have money to spend but how do we attract the players needed? Our only hope of replacing Teddy with another brilliant player is that Johnson loves Cleary, is good mates with Matulino and wants a challenge. Those 3 things and a fat pay check would get him here, but besdies the pay check, the other 3 factors are big ifs.

I see no reason to be overjoyed about this. our pack will be weaker and thats even if we get Mautalino and at least another prop.I feel many people on here will learn to regret his loss.If Tedesco also leaves it will be even worse

What ever about Woods is a current Aust and NSW player and Tedesco is the incumbent NSW fullback and at their best they are very difficult to replace. I think if all this contract rubbish was not happening it would be a better team and you would be seeing Woods in a totally different light.

This year is gone and I don't see much light on the horizon for a "new era" happening for a few seasons. Lets be real who wants to join a team based in the cellar for the last 5 years. Just look at the problems the Knights having with getting quality players, the Tigers will face the same problems.

There is no silver lining here just wooden spoons

My point is weve only signed McQueen….we have a poor history really when it comes to recruiting so I cant get my hopes up just yet

It's a disgrace and an embarrassment….. those in charge of running the club should hang their in head in shame.
