Then the club imposed its deadline. Some believe the club had no choice in order to plan for the future. Woods saw it as a slap in the face.
>
It's a sad predicament given Woods likes new coach Ivan Cleary and believes in the vision he has for the club.
>
Unfortunately he might not be around to see it come to fruition. If he wants to stay a Tiger for life, all he has to do is ask and the contract will be put back on the table.
>
But he's been hurt by the club's ultimatum, so much so he chose to ignore some of the Tigers' hierarchy in the sheds after their win against the Bulldogs on Sunday.

If Chammas is supposedly on WTs/Woods side then im guessing this is accurate.
Woods needs to grow a set and stop acting all sooky lala…princesses these days

If this is true it's kindergarten level stuff, I don't like the way you have acted so I'm not talking to you. I've always thought if you have an issue with someone or something just say so.

This comes down to club culture.
Woods learnt this trait from the one and only Robbie Farah. He was always ignoring people he didn't like and keep a grudge going.
I can see now why people wanted Farah gone, his influence is right there for all to see.

Yep.

I reckon if he stays we hear today and if he leave its announced after the game, similar how we waited till after the game with matulion.

But the dogs could pull a dog act and announce before the game but I dont see it.

Idk how you can watch the Reynolds interview and not be won over. That's how you leave a club. He debuted the same year as Woods and has played a similar number of games, and he was on the verge of tears. Our captain seems like he can't wait to leave. Im not counting on a 15 minute, no punches pulled explanation as to why he's leaving. Reynolds is going to bring everything to this club that Woods doesn't give it. Passion.

As Moses would say 100%…Woods has the attitude of a spoilt brat..the sooner he announces he is going the better for the club.....he is hanging around like a bad smell...Josh Reynolds has shown these Prima Donas how to leave a club...cant wait for JR to come on board and bring the much needed passion to this club

Intriguing timing if there is in fact an announcement today. I can't see Woods announcing he is leaving the day before a Leichhardt game.

Could you see him announcing he is staying the day before a Leichhardt game :stuck_out_tongue:

Honestly if he stays he needs a good week to learn how to talk to the press. James Graham shows it how it is supposed to be done.

It' s even worse that that - I don't like they way you've acted so I'm going to make a rash decision about my long-term career.

If Chammas is even close to being on the money, i.e. that Tigers would put Woods' offer back if he asked for it, but if Woods chooses not to ask, he either wants to leave or he's so petulant as to really be a burden on us.

It's like Tim Brasher all over again, we can't wait guys we need to move on, are you staying or going? Oh you missed the deadline, well good riddance the club is more than one player, seeya. Except that Woods does have the second chance that Brasher did not.

Agreed. Reynolds is my most disliked football player, however, that interview provided an insight into qualities he has that we desperately need; passion and commitment. Reynolds, SJ, and Cronk are in a different league than Teddy and Woods in regards to the current contract mayhem.

It's official: Aaron Woods will be a Bulldog next season.

The NSW and Australian prop will make an announcement over the next 48 hours, but any chance of an 11th hour backflip are now over after committing his future to the Bulldogs on Friday.

It comes a week to the day after the Wests Tigers pulled their contract to the prop off the table in an ultimatum that left a sour taste in the mouth of the Leichhardt junior.

Woods has been disgruntled with the club for some time, finally making the tough decision to walk away from the team he captains to link with close friend David Klemmer at the Bulldogs.

Woods' frustration with the club became further apparent after last week's victory against the Bulldogs, ignoring members of the club's hierarchy in the sheds after the game.

Fullback James Tedesco, who also had his contract removed after last Friday's deadline, is expected to join the Roosters but still hasn't put pen to paper to make it official.

The Tigers are hopeful of an unlikely change of heart, but the club is resigned to the fact their superstar No.1 will be at the Roosters in 2018.

Mitchell Moses is still trying to seek a release from his final year at the Tigers, however the joint venture is waiting until it lands either Connor Watson, Te Maire Martin or Tuimoala Lolohea as a replacement for this year.

The Roosters are reluctant to release Watson despite the Tigers' hopes of luring him to Concord to play five-eighth for the remainder of this season.

The signing of Josh Reynolds has also dented the club's hopes of convincing Martin, who will play NSW Cup this weekend, to join the Tigers this year.

It has become increasingly likely Martin will return home to New Zealand to link with the Warriors as a replacement for the Canterbury-bound Kieran Foran.

Lolohea, who is also struggling for a run in the Warriors' NRL team, has been linked to the Tigers and is being considered as a replacement for Moses.

The Eels are desperate to get Moses to the club after next week's representative round, but have been told it won't happen unless the Tigers can land an alternative halves partner for Luke Brooks.

The Tigers have signed prop Ben Matulino and backrower Chris McQueen for next season, and are still in negotiations with Dragons front rower Russell Packer to reunite with former Warriors coach Ivan Cleary.

The club has also moved to bolster its depth in the outside backs, signing Malakai Watene-Zelezniak - the older brother of Panthers winger Dallin Watene-Zelezniak, for the remainder of the season and next year.
