Adam Blair To Broncos (CONFIRMED)

@THE POM said:
He promised his wife long ago that if the opportunity to ever play in QLD came up he'd take it. She has been away from her family his entire football career. This whole thing only popped up during four nations after discussions with Stephan Kearny ( Brisbane Assisstant)

That and a dislike for Taylor.Didnt want to get too personal re family etc.

Just curious, did Adam Blair take part in any of the Wests Tigers preseason training sessions so far, or did that not happen because of the Four Nations?

Don't think so. Not even Farah has. JT said in his first presser that they were communicating via txt cos Farah was in camp.

Blair leaving had nothing to do with Money I know for fact he's taken less to go to Brisbane.

True and you and I both know the reasons he is leaving but to be fair part of the reason he is leaving may still have a positive influence on this team.I believe he will.

What are the real reasons?

A dislike of Jason Taylor but to be fair I dont think its warranted.Hes good mates with Faalogo but that was a long time ago.

OMG…Jerry back to his best. Some theory without foundation to counter a reasonable and sensible comment from The Pom. I never thought I would favour The Poms but really ...Jerry....give us a break.

So we have people with a corporate background running the club now. I'm guessing they have a plan, but they are treating us like mushrooms so who really knows?

Looking at other clubs, just how much info do we expect to see?

Not digging on you particularly, but it seems the general consensus here that we are somehow way behind in knowing everything that goes on behind the scenes?

No team ever has been privy to every single going on with their NRL side.

It is pretty obvious he asked for a release. His comments in the article this morning were a pretty big hint and the in laws live in Brisbane.

I have never bagged Blair even during his pathetic first year but I will say good riddance to him at this time.

Rarely did he ever live up to his pay cheque. :unamused:

I have no doubt we will be chasing Merrin or similar in the near future.

For all the fans having a meltdown over this please remind us how many games he made over 100 metres in the last 3 years. I will guess 4.

You sound very sour and butthurt just cause I say the REAL reason Blair is leaving.Grow up crybaby. Why is it some people with inside knowledge who know the players pass on info and it seems to trigger whiny bitchy posts from tantrum supporters. Not the majority just a select few like LCA post. :wtf

I think that the question most supporters would liked answered is;

With Blair, Fulton, Thompson, Gavet and Patterson not playing in 2015 we will certainly be very short on backrow talent. Surely with these players gone there must be enough money in the cap to buy at least an experienced, capable backrower. Why doesn't the club use the remaining cap money they now have to buy such a player rather than throwing our young emerging backrowers to the wolves?

My heart bleeds for these guys. Blairs wife wants to live in Brisbane, Thompson has family issues in New Zealand, Austin wants to set up his family in Canberra. We should rename the Wests Tigers as the Bleeding Hearts Benevolent Society, All footballers with family problems can play with us to establish themselves and in wonderful acts of kindness we release them to other clubs.
Give me a break. It's called crap management

When I read through the DT article it was their for all to see why Blair went to the Broncos …
1\. Family
2\. His admiration for Bennett
3\. His dislike of Taylor , which is more than understandable .

Lawrence to back row may be a reality....

So we want to release all these nuffies like Moltzen ,Luani ,Bullock etc and we release 3 out of the 6 best performed players in 2014 in Blair , Austin or Thompson

Are we actually releasing them or is it more a case of the rats jumping from a sinking ship

All I ever hear from the Wests Tigers are WORDS ,WORDS AND MORE WORDS

How about some ACTIONS ACTIONS AND MORE ACTIONS JUST FOR ONCE , JUST FOR FN ONCE just for something different

We have a new gym and no one to use it

We have this wonderful board , GM , head coach and we are heading smack bang towards our first wooden spoon

Sorry all I've lost the faith , someone help me

Is there a link with Blair playing great footy with the kiwis and storm in teams that have teammates who do there job and play structured footy .

He came to a tigers team that cannot tackle or perform for 80minutes cannot put pressure with last tackle option . How many times have u seen him chasing in defence after there has been a miss tackle ? Now the broncos will give him a task to do and all the other players will do there job and we will be sitting here complaining that he plays great for them .
Other top players will have watched him struggle with tigers and wont come to tigers unless money is overs . Craig bellamy and wayne bennett see the benefit in him except for the mighty wests tigers I know who I would go with

He's good enough to be in the champion 4 nations side. He's good enough for Wayne Bennett to want him. But he's not good enough for us. PLEASE !

Its a shame, the last yr and a half he's been faultless. His legacy here will go down as a player that people expected way too much from cos of his paycheck. The reality is yes, he was over payed, but whose feet does the blame fall at over that. him, or the goose who signed him. People expected way too much from him cos of that, they expected nothing less than for him to be a clone of Burgess, but he's nowhere near that kind of player, yet people whinged.

At the end of the day, he missed 1 game in 3 yrs, and that one game was through suspension. Not a bad effort for a guy who supposedly never had a go, and during long of periods of players dropping like flies around him, yet he was always there. He'll never get credit for that though, its just easier for people to take cheap shots cos thats what everyone else does. The majority of fans will always be sheep when it comes to Blair, bash him cos its the popular thing to do, and never acknowledge his good points.

Thanks for your service Adam. I bet he's jumping out of his skin to play under Bennett. Bennett rates him, so when it comes to Bennett and a bunch of jaded, tunnel visioned supporters, i know whose opinion carries more weight.

Blair must be reading this Thread and pissing himself laughing, how everyone thought he was overpaid and now some are crying for him when his gone.
