I believe Adam Blair was gonna have a big year in 2015 the last year of his contract. A gritty player with experience who really got injured.
I know I know Young team rebuilding stage.
Young players need confidence and to be competitive. Not broken or injured on the sideline.

It's the RATS IMO !!!!
I'm over it too happy , were a joke of a club IMO .
I've even been reminiscing today about the good old sheens days that's how pissed off I've felt today !
Plus the appointment of Taylor has really got under my skin .
How can we brainwash our kids into following this team when their such a basket case ???

Looking at other clubs, just how much info do we expect to see?

Not digging on you particularly, but it seems the general consensus here that we are somehow way behind in knowing everything that goes on behind the scenes?

No team ever has been privy to every single going on with their NRL side.

I think that the question most supporters would liked answered is;

With Blair, Fulton, Thompson, Gavet and Patterson not playing in 2015 we will certainly be very short on backrow talent. Surely with these players gone there must be enough money in the cap to buy at least an experienced, capable backrower. Why doesn't the club use the remaining cap money they now have to buy such a player rather than throwing our young emerging backrowers to the wolves?

Because the cap isn't split into fullback/centre/wing/halves/props/backrowers/utilities?

We've lost almost a 1000 NRL games of experience for 2015 and signed 50 odd games

As I just said , we need to stop listening to what these liars tell us every Oct /Nov when they want our charity handout ( sorry membership )

If people can't see the writing on the wall with what has happened with Thompson ,Austin and now Blair , you need to buy a guide dog and a walking stick

And who fills in at centre - SKD? Then why did Taylor categorically state publicly today that there would be no new players for 2015?

Not really devastated. We have some really good young backrowers who could step up in Santi, Liolevave and Funaki. Lawrence is probably going to move there.

Maybe FPN as well. But even if we don't sign SKD or FPN I still feel that's quite a competitive side. I really am confident that Lawrence will transition to backrow quite superbly. He will run over 100 metres a game, break the line and has decent hands and speed for a backrower. Failing that Liolevave, Santi and Funaki are excellent depth options in the backrow while Hitchcox, Seve, Heleta are capable backs depth. If say Liolevave and Seve have huge off seasons they could be breakout stars in the NRL next year. Parramatta had a rookie backrow in Edwards and Ma'u last season and they did very well.

Yesterday i was over the moon at the prospect at signing SKD, and i still am, but unlike yesterday, i'm of the belief we need more than him. We need a forward desperately, cos as it stands our pack will get monstered next yr. FPN might not be much, but he will do at this stage. We need someone with experience who can stand up and help Woods and Galloway (who needs to lift himself). If we can pull off both SKD and FPN, i'll breath a little easier.

Promise made during his time in Melbourne. Jess has spent a long time away from her family for Adam. Also with their son going to school in 2016 they want to settle in for the long haul. If this opportunity didn't arise they wouldn't be going back to Brisbane his Adam retired.

I'm certain that when JT went for his job interview his vision of the future of the Club matched the vision of the board, in terms of the direction we need to go.
I trust JT plan in place, I don't think as a Coach who has been away from the game for a few years ( as head Coach) will jeopardise his position as being sacked before his 3 years is up.
I have no doubt there is a plan in place but at this present moment in time I can't help to feel that next year is already over before it began with current squad.
We have released at least $1.1million in player wages for 2015 I reckon

3.Austen $150,000
4.Gavet $120,000
5.Paterson $130,000

Not too disappointed about this. Sometimes you have to take 1 step backwards in order to take 2 steps forward. I'll trust Taylor knows what he's doing. We've got the nucleus of some very talented players to build around and while next year may not be too crash hot, I reckon we'll be ramping up for a big 2016.

I hear ya, Happy and I feel the pain also. In fact, if you take me at my word in this thread last night, I'm supposed to be done with Rugby League right now! Tigermama could see right through me though :laughing:

I wish I knew what the hell was going on with this club. Things start looking up with the appointment of a new coach, a new board and a new GM, but then it all comes crashing down again when we end up with the same old dumbass decisions!
