Adam Blair

He was stupid to run up the Glenn Stewart when he got sin binned, he was asking for trouble and the judiciary will not be impressed.

The amount of press this is getting these guys could get enormous suspensions, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we don't see him in Round 1 next year because of this.

Manly ran the game for 50 years and now that they have to follow the same rules as everyone else they cry like babies. I hate Melbourne for their cheating but they had 3 premierships taken off them and have not complained once this year, they've just gotten on with the job. BrettStewart got a bum rap, and he carries on like a pork chop for the next 20 years! They brawl as though poor Manly have been hard done by. Boo-bloody-hoo. Fine 'em half a mil and ban 5 players for a month. Let 'em cry into their corn flakes. :rant

x200

Manly biggest whingers in the history of the NSWRL/ARL/NRL and whilst i don't really care for the Storm you have to admit they have taken the salary cap issues on the chin and have sucked it up and played footy.

Being an ex Western Suburbs supporter who hated Manly with a pssion it is great to see Adam Blair come aboard next year with the same hatred.

We need his aggression to add starch to our pack.

any suspension over 2 weeks to Blair and Stewart would be dead set rediculous. They shouldn't even be suspended at all. Its the 4 cowards from Manly who charged in who should have the book thrown at them

Hammer has come down. Wednesday night should be interesting…

Even if Blair copped a 5game suspension, **wouldn't his nz games at the end of the year count?** Is absolutely no chance of missing the start of next season

No…only NRL sanctioned games count towards suspension Im pretty sure....Tests & four- nations fall under the RLIF jurisdiction

Is there a reciprocation though? Don't bans/suspensions in the NRL also carry over to SuperLeague and vice versa?

Blair was jogging off, towards the gate to the sheds…...Stewart slowed, stopped and waited for him....directly in line to where they had to go.

Whats Blair to do?

Take a detour, change direction?

He'd never live it down

Blair didn't run up to Randy Stewart intentionally, Blair was headed in the direction he was expected to go, it was Randy Stewart who deliberately dawdled off the field to allow Blair to catch up, I feel that this may have been premeditated as Earl Stewart was there in a flash as soon as the confrontation occured.
For the unitiated I have now named Glen Stewart 'Randy' after the dim witted character from 'My Name Is Earl' who has his 'smarter brother' Earl run his life and protect him just like Brett, Brett = Earl Hickey.

Yes I believe that's correct. Used to be anyway although they may have changed that. NRL sanctioned trial games DO count so that's another 2 games. I think Ink is correct in that tests don't count.

The Tigers should just schedule a couple of extra trials against Orara Valley Axemen and Old Bar Pirates so Blair can serve his suspension in those.

They need to be NRL sanctioned trials.
Trilals like weve participated in the past in such as Ulladulla and one in Griffith I think from memory arent NRL snctioned….plus you risk park footy players getting a chance at taking down an NRL star - tall poppy syndrome

Blair was dealt with by the referee for his actions in the on field fracas. He's making his way off for a ten minute spell, when intercepted by Stewart, who then attempts to punch him. What is Blair meant to do? Throw his arms in the air and allow himself to be hit? The bloke has a right to protect himself. There's not an NRL player alive who would not have defended himself. If Blair receives a suspension it's an unmitigated joke

Bret Stewart? Not guilty does not automatically mean innocent

There are strong similarities between the actions of Brett Stewart and those of Danny Williams in 2004\. The only difference was that Williams connected. Brett Stewart should get 12 weeks. Running 30m to be third man in with a flying swinging arm to the head of player. Thankfully, he did not connect.

His actions were the worst seen in the NRL since 2004.

Disagree entirely he came in with a shoulder charge not a punch, team mates should come in and back each other up.
As I said on another thread, what Lussick did was disgraceful, punching Blair on the ground whilst 3 or 4 other blokes were laying on him.
Everyone is calling all the Manly blokes dogs, but what do you want, your players not to come in and let your mate get pummelled. None of the manly players (except Lussick) threw a punch when they came in.

I give u messrs Watmough, Matai, both Stewarts, Lussick and Rose. Which one of those does not belong in a kennel?

to be fair to watmough and matai (whom are in my least favourite players in the comp) actually acted as peace makers in both blues, much to my surprise.

Blair and Stewart both definately wanted to go again, Stewart slowed, Blair jog and bumped him, they both wanted to get stuck in.
