@Twodogs said:Manly ran the game for 50 years and now that they have to follow the same rules as everyone else they cry like babies. I hate Melbourne for their cheating but they had 3 premierships taken off them and have not complained once this year, they've just gotten on with the job. BrettStewart got a bum rap, and he carries on like a pork chop for the next 20 years! They brawl as though poor Manly have been hard done by. Boo-bloody-hoo. Fine 'em half a mil and ban 5 players for a month. Let 'em cry into their corn flakes. :rant
@Bismark said:He was stupid to run up the Glenn Stewart when he got sin binned, he was asking for trouble and the judiciary will not be impressed.
The amount of press this is getting these guys could get enormous suspensions, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we don't see him in Round 1 next year because of this.
@innsaneink said:@tigerlogic said:Even if Blair copped a 5game suspension, **wouldn't his nz games at the end of the year count?** Is absolutely no chance of missing the start of next season

No…only NRL sanctioned games count towards suspension Im pretty sure....Tests & four- nations fall under the RLIF jurisdiction

Is there a reciprocation though? Don't bans/suspensions in the NRL also carry over to SuperLeague and vice versa?
@MacDougall said:The Tigers should just schedule a couple of extra trials against Orara Valley Axemen and Old Bar Pirates so Blair can serve his suspension in those.

@Goose said:@Gary Bakerloo said:There are strong similarities between the actions of Brett Stewart and those of Danny Williams in 2004\. The only difference was that Williams connected. Brett Stewart should get 12 weeks. Running 30m to be third man in with a flying swinging arm to the head of player. Thankfully, he did not connect.
His actions were the worst seen in the NRL since 2004.
Disagree entirely he came in with a shoulder charge not a punch, team mates should come in and back each other up.
As I said on another thread, what Lussick did was disgraceful, punching Blair on the ground whilst 3 or 4 other blokes were laying on him.
Everyone is calling all the Manly blokes dogs, but what do you want, your players not to come in and let your mate get pummelled. None of the manly players (except Lussick) threw a punch when they came in.
