Since the club sent Adam back to NSW he could be waiting months to get his surgery... why they didn't get it done in Queensland is baffling.
I would have thought going to see the specialist who did his initial operation is the most logical move and he is in Sydney.I see nothing baffling at all
Instead of getting his surgery done quickly in Queensland he will now potentially have to wait months for it which means he'll be missing months more of footy next year
Meanwhile Sivo has already had his surgery despite being injured in the same round as Adam. Some clubs are just smarter than others
Absolute nonsense,if you have had an operation with a good specialist you would go back to him again if the problem reoccurs.AD has done that as all smart people would.
Couldn't have been that good a specialist, it got re-injured. Poor from the club!
Aren't Sivo and Cleary getting their operations done in Qld?
Sivo already did
Doueihi should have had his done up there too. Pretty stupid bringing him back.
Depends, I would probably want the surgeon I had already used to do my operation.
But it means he'll spend months more on the sideline, effectively ending our season before it even began. Getting the surgery done asap should have been the main priority. I'm sure the doctors up there are just as good as down here - it didn't bother Sivo or Cleary.
He is such an important part of the team, they should have been doing everything they can to get it sorted to minimise time on the sidelines imo.
I want the best outcome long term. If he misses a bit more time to achieve that then that is what we need. We won't be seeing him back to his best until 2023 anyway.
I agree, but I don't see how another specialist/surgeon in Queensland would be less capable than down here.
Because the optimal time for ACL surgery is 4-10 weeks post injury?
