Brooks and AD will expect around $800,000 a year, and Laurie over $500,000. That's a lot of money tied up for players we HOPE will turn their games around with a better pack. It just does not fit the way the side has been doing business lately.

difference is they might restructure Brooks deal and spread it out over 23 24 25
 
I’d say they are looking at doughi as captain but don’t want him to leave next year strait after announcing it

Id say there is a catch but. If mosses signs he will be playing centre for the 24 season

Lot's of AD fans promoting him as captain, nothing from the club to suggest it, and the rest prefer Offa, or Api. And of course super ego AD himself.

It is but reality is the pot externally is dry with proven quality hence why we are chasing Moses hard and went in for Munster before him.

Can’t really blame the club atm.

I really carnt see who els we pick I think he’s the best option but if he was to take the captaincy I’d like to see him sign a 3 year extension at around 600 k to play centre or 58 where ever the coach sees fit

This would be ideal but it’s completely up to him
 
Has it already been said that AD is weighing up a 1 year extension offer by tiges. Source DT.

Sleeve has repeatedly harped on about
how Doueihi has an 'ego' and he's a 'ball
hog' and that he's 'greedy'. The guy has
an inherent hate for him. I wouldn't bother
with his commentary on this matter.
TBH it's become a bit draining, at least
Paws & Earl who are a bit bias in their own right have given some level headed analysis on Doueihi and the captaincy situation haha. Interesting next few weeks

Why is it seen as arrogant & cocky for a player to say he aspires to be captain? captain of a club where he was a local junior & a club he clearly has love for? If in my job I said I want to be a Manager because I aspire to be one & feel like I have decent leadership qualities is that arrogant/cocky?

Especially at a time when previous
management has been shit and the
turnover hasn't been good (in job speak).
Takes a certain type of man to put their
hand up & take on that responsinilty
when the chips are down. I respect it,
I'm in the Doueihi & Joffa camp bro.
Either or will do a job for us and are
the best candidates seeing Sheens
has said he's not looking at the new
guys for the captaincy role. Pretty
easy decision when you look at it
from a non-bias perspective of course

Exactly. Api would've been perfect for it imo but Sheens already said none of the new guys will be named so realistically it leaves us with few options.

I think there are very few people who think Douehi is arrogant for wanting to be club captain.
