Adam Doueihi #227

Thought he handled his return well.
Was involved and got through the work.

As others have mentioned, I don't think he's a half... I guess if he's a utility and your half goes down, he could slide into the role.

He'd be closest to the biggest and most athletic player in our squad. I think he's a centre or backrower. I could see him being our #13 Yeo also. Depending how much his defence has improved.

No secret, I've been a fan for years and I want to see him succeed, with us. Interesting few weeks ahead.

His interview was all class today. The resilience and character to come back from what he's been through is very admirable. Looks big and strong as well, no doubt he'll be a great asset for the back half of the year.

Best thing is he's a winner and is very professional in his preparation, at the very least he's a positive influence on this young squad with what it takes to be successful in the NRL
41 losses from 57 games at 28%.
Yeah he’s a real winner Mrs Doubie.

Does anyone watch defensive effort?

He did the old Cliff Young trot to get back into the defensive line again too much for my liking...

The 2005 Premiership team was built around effort players who regularly made the 1 percenters - like Galea, Skandalis, O'Neill, Fulton, Gibbs, Halatau, Laffranchi, Fitzhenry....

Doueihi is not and will never be that type of player!
And when a kick goes up he runs to be a shield Instead of taking the ball .. sadly he takes too many soft options when he needs to take the hard one and take responsibility.. it’s a shame because he has all the physical attributes needed to be a top like footy player but he won’t put his body behind a tackle ..’so frustrating

To be a little fair to him, jumping and taking a kick was how he hurt himself last year. It was his first game back from a reco and 14 months of rehab. I wouldn’t be overly keen in doing that at this stage either.

Yeah , I considered that and he wasn’t in the wing and was not the only one to do that today.. I just hope someone points it out to him or he does begin to start making them efforts . It would really improve his game .

Benji and Morris need to get him in the video room and point all these things out to him

Mate , if that is your best idea 💡, then you need to take a break from the internet. This forum is for only the best ideas from people that absolutely know their stuff.. back to Reggie’s for you mate, till you get your act together.. ok
Bit harsh TNK. Isn’t that what this forums all about, different views and ideas !
There has been a bit of comment on here about Bulas lack of involvement in games so perhaps a change of scenery in the centres might work, and AD has played FB ok before.
But I will say after yesterday that Mason may be the one. Been playing FB in
Reggie’s and looked sharp in his short involvement.
Hope you just respect the diversity of ideas on here coz we’re all here to try and work out what maybe best for the WT.
Cheers.

Amazing how Bula makes 200 metres every week with his "lack of involvement"....

Haha…as I said cherry picking. Completely ignoring the last 12+ months where we have barely won a game WITHOUT him.

I’m clearly talking about since his latest injury. It’s well before 28%. It’s a black and white figure. Not sure why you’re trying to argue with that.

Anyway I’ve just realised from other threads you’re one of those troll dudes that jacks off to getting in debates. I don’t care enough to provide you with your material. Have a good one.
Using his entire tenure at the Tigers is "cherypicking"....

You can fangirl on Doueihi all you like - facts are Wests Tigers are better without him!

His entire tenure except for the past 15 months which you conveniently left off.

If you want to make a statement that we have a better winning percentage without him, then start on his debut for the club and finish on yesterday’s game. Otherwise your statement is inaccurate and pointless.

Also I’m not even a Doueihi “fangirl”. His application to defence is atrocious and frankly embarrassing for a bloke his size. I simply initially stated that since his latest injury our winning percentage is lower than 28%.

He hasn't played in the past 15 months - but FWIW let me break it down for you:

In seasons 2022-2023 - he played 17 games for ONE win at a winning percentage of 5.8%

In that period the Wests Tigers played 48 games (31 without Doueihi) for 8 wins in total - and 7 wins in the 31 games without Doueihi at a winning percentage of 22.5%

In 2024 - there is no sample for Doueihi - but we have 3 wins from 13 games at 23% (well above Doueihi's 5.8% winning ratio over his previous 17 games across two seasons)...

The 28% win rate over his Tigers career actually flatters him given what he has produced since 2021!

He is a myth!
