Adam Doueihi #227

Also he is like Lomax in his catching skills. Really need to use a small chip to the line with him running through to leap. He's got good hands.

Dunno whether or not its earth shattering but Tim Grant said on the BTR pod that we're not letting him go. When the convo of his contract status was brought up, guess he would know stuff from around the traps.
I could be wrong but my impression is he wants to be with us, now whether that’s because he really appreciates how we nursed him through a couple of bad injuries, or coz he was a local junior, I'm not really sure but that’s got to carry a bit of weight in contract discussions. Everyone on here knows I’m a fan so probably a little biased but I think as long as he contributes he is asset and despite predictions of doom he’s been pretty solid. I’m loving his goal kicking contributions ( so far) and that’s something every team needs, especially those with Top 8 aspirations.

I’m with Hal.
He hasn’t had an easy time with severe injuries.,
Still recall he was far and away our best player only a few short years ago.

Time is the worst enemy.

Not long ago it was Doueihi that was our only real option.

How lucky are we that he is now down around 5th or 6th best option on the field to make something happen?

I absolutely love Doueihi, since he got here. I see him as one of our best centres- hopefully paired with Taylan May in time. With Turuva & Skelton & then, soon, Makasini- it's a very dangerous 3/4 line. Added bonus- goal kicking & the ability to slot into 6, 7, 1 or on the wing.

He's not our best player. I know that. But his value to the squad should be unquestioned. If Galvin went down for a season- Doueihi could fill in & I don't think the team loses momentum.
