Thats what im sayin...

We are gonna be the club the bulldogs wish they could be.

Thanks Robbie Farah.

Douhei can link with cedar team mate Alex Twal.
Its great.

I reckon we should sign Kayne Kalache from the bulldogs asap too, he'd come cheap.
He isnt in their top 30.

We should build from this and make it known.

Hard to take you seriously with your bias. And since this is about the 100th time you've suggested this...

There's absolutely no need for Kayne Kalche AND he isn't in the Dogs top 30 because he'll never see first grade.

Kalache has a big future...
Hes a bit like Twal player wise.

What bias? I support the cedars as much as i support the tigers and know talent when i see it.

Dont be sad.

And all from the guy who wanted us to sign Lichaa.

I think the best way to go about recruitment is to sign the best players you can get when needed.

Who cares where their heritage is from.

Lichaa is better than any hooker we have ready to go right now.

Naive souls.

Lets all enjoy Mbye #9 this year.
Yay.

Funnily enough, despite being maligned, Lichaa started to play some decent footy towards the back end, I thought. As soon as he stopped trying to ball-play and just passed and tackled.

What's he up to? Don't know of any info of him having a current NRL deal?

I think hes unemployed bra.

Prob turn out for Auburn warriors or something.
Doggies didnt offer a deal as far as im aware.

No more lebos !
They ain’t they good !

Are u Byron Bay Fan?

Calm down mate, it's Robbies birthday today.

Meanwhile we run out with a part time center in our spine at 9.

I honestly think Simpkin will be ready to go for rd1, if not rd1, then certainly by rd10, he is our future 9

To me it’s less about price and more about the extra spot on the roster.

If JR is stood down and we get an exemption/additional roster spot a low cost short term hooker would be the play. Either Lichaa or Brittan would have to be options.

Smart guy.
If they are your options...
Lichaa is the man.

Experienced. First grade ready. Tough.

Agree with @Jirskyr I saw much the same. Especially when Dessie told him he would not be resigned he started playing out of his skin. Could do worse.

We signed McIlwrick for exactly this reason and he turned out ok, for as long as his knees held out.

I'm never against signing anyone to a reserve grade contract, for insurance and backup purposes. E.g. Josh Hoffman mooted just recently. No dramas at all if someone with that kind of experience lurks around in reggies, unless you are specifically trying to bring on a junior in reggies, in which case you are probably going to promote the kid anyway and an experienced head still works out.

And we have 3 spots to fill with no takers, so he might be by rd1

Doueihi at no.1 and Thomo on the wing will make our team stronger. imo

Except he will be more exposed defensively to the new not touching the attacker in the air rule.

Sorry, I was referring to Cory and omitted writing "there" before defensively above, as I think he will be targeted more out wide than if at the back.

Cory is vastly underrated by many. He is faster and more elusive than he is given credit for. His defence is also solid. I am happy to have him as fullback and I don’t think it detracts from the team one bit, he adds far more to the team than others being suggested.

IMO Cory is good enough at FB that we shouldn’t settle for anything other than a specialist exceptional fullback to replace him. I’m in two minds re Doueihi in that role and because of that happy for the club to not pay overs for him

I agree, Corey at FB is the kind of happy average that gets you 9th position every year. He'll do you the job and you can be proud of him, but he doesn't cause much stress to organised defences.

We need to aim for more excellence in these key positions, particularly spine.

If you are coming into finals contention, unless Corey is in some crazy purple patch I haven't ever seen before, the opposition are going to have him well covered in set-piece attack. Corey's upside is broken-field and surprisingly effective work in contact / early tackles. But there's less broken-field and more pressure come finals time.

Hes also a midget and suspect under the highball.
His small frame is almost always outmuscled.

He is a great runner, fast and he seems to slide through the opposition on a break... probably cos hes so small.

His great running is balanced by his inability or reluctance to pass. No ball playing. Decent defender but because of his physical attributes this doesn't always translate in game time.

Great depth player.
Much like Utai, Brown, MWZ.
But simply isnt a FG fullback or winger.

And for the people saying we should trial him at hooker or lock.... this is as laughable as cktiger saying he outdrinks 20 yr olds and then takes their girls home.
