For me he seems the logical choice to be captain of this side. He has the most passion, he puts in the most effort and if we need a big time play out of anyone in the side he is who I would be giving the ball to. For me he ticks every box.

He is already a good leader and nothing would improve making him a leader

I still say the ideal candidate is Brooks ...force him to lead this side ....and if he does ,,we get some upside from the decision

Wouldn’t be able to handle the additional pressure

It’s not in his personality

I think Brooks already has too much pressure on him. Whether he has played well in recent weeks or not, he is still being panned by the media with stories of how the club has turned on him etc etc - couldn't be very helpful for his own confidence really.

As for Doueihi, as much as I see passion and desire in him, I am not sure he has the maturity yet - especially emotionally. He is still young and maybe needs a couple more years of NRL experience and time at the club to grow into a true Captain.

Tamou needs to take a look in the mirror and decide if he wants his career to end in a fizzle with many Tigers fans thinking he's a dud (Anasta comes to mind), or whether he wants to end it as a champion. If it's the latter, then he needs to lift his effort and his desire and lead the youngsters and the weak-willed into a battle against the insidious lethargy and lack of belief that pervades this club. Tamou needs to pull his finger out and have a go, he needs to drag the rest of this lot with him screaming like a mongrel!

Yeah why not !
Current captain only plays 28 mins and plods !

28 minute plodder :joy: That just screams captain material. Geez we can pick them.. Can't remember the last time we had any form of quality leadership. Douehi couldn't do any worse, that's for sure.

I really haven't seen (C) in him yet... Maybe in time yeh

I don't think this is our biggest issue.... Our issues start before they cross the sideline for kick off

Hunger, desire, passion, attitude, will to win, self pride...all. These things seem to be lacking... A good (C) can help in tough times on the park thru leading by example of the above traits already exist... But it's useless when their missing

Brooks shouldn't be in the team much less made captain.

He'll get there. He's still a kid learning his game, don't need to push the captaincy on him just yet.

this. but what a player he is developing into. providing he can sort his defence he is going to be a premier 6. what about that ball to Garner? up there with the best of them in that department.

Those traits have been missing for so long it's now ingrained in our club to just be happy with mediocrity as a player or a club official. And then they dare to challenge fans to show more passion, continue shelling out big money for memberships, merchandise etc.
Can't really remember the last time our blokes ran onto the field with real intent to do whatever it takes to win a game, let alone carry that passion and drive throughout 80 minutes.

Needs to lock down a position first

Lock, as a ball player may very well be his best positiin.

Think they’ll give that to Hastings he’s a 6 or a centre IMO

Brooks captain 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

He can barely handle his own job

Brooks for ball boy, we can also train him to peel oranges at half time to extract maximum value out of $900,000.
Douehi wears his heart on his sleeve - I’m becoming a big fan - I want a Captain with maximum passion, he is worthy of a shot.

Then sack him when it fails

Force him to be a leader ...a 7 should be leading his side around the park

Maybe he asks for a release because of the pressure ....

Take a listen. AD joins Vossy ahead of the club’s Anzac Day clash with the Sea Eagles.

I like how he says 'Madge says' a few things. It shows he's listening to the coach, rather than just making up answers, which I think some players do/have done
