Adam Doueihi #227

Everyone on here clearly hasn’t been a fan for very long. Brooks will be in one of those half jerseys next season. Even with Adam missing close to half the season, they should still let Brooks go but this club isn’t that smart. Won’t make the 8 regardless

I wonder what this means for Doueihi's position next year. If he's gone for half the season, we need to plan for the halves without him.

Hope he doesn't suffer the same fate as Walters who went from "just okay" to "rubbish" after his ACL.

To be fair Walters was never ok, he was always rubbish

He was a decent fringe back up option, he now should be nowhere near first grade. Don't let your negative downward spiral impact your judgment.

I’d be definitely picking up Ash Taylor now. Hastings is an unknown quantity and if he doesn’t work out we’re stuffed.

I'm starting to think having a dominant alpha male type player like Hastings could help tilt the scales. IMO he only needs to show he's team driven or goal oriented to be deemed a succesful recruit for the team.
It's nothing against Ash but coming to a club like ours just might not be the best option for him (to get back to his best footy).

That's terrible news for Adam. All the best in recovery.

You might be right, he’s definitely a competitor, I just don’t know how he’ll adjust to NRL and I think Taylor might be sensible as a contingency. Putting all our eggs in Hastings/Brook is pretty risky IMO. AD is a huge loss

Not out of the question for mine, though as Hastings is probably very similar to Mbye cover wise, we might be able to get by with Madden as at worst a fill in if he shows a little in these last couple of games.

Brooks is the luckiest player to play the game lol.

Gets paid top dollar for 10 years off the back of potential and then as he is gona be shown the door, our best half has a long term injury…

Get well soon AD

My dog snapped his ACL.

The vet operated and he was back to normal in around 4 weeks.

Can we get Adam operated on by a vet instead.

Auditions this weekend for 5/8, Madden gets to show his wears against a quality opposition if he can put in a good show it will help to secure the position also Jackson Hastings could easily fill in also Dylan Walker off contract at Manly mighten be a bad pick up

Six additions which would make WTs front page news.

Dylan Walker,
Ash Taylor,
Curtis Scott,
Duges,
Fergo,
Adam Elliott

That is more like 6 reasons for me to join a monastery without electricity

Since the club sent Adam back to NSW he could be waiting months to get his surgery... why they didn't get it done in Queensland is baffling.

Don't see why they need the exact same doctor, if he can't get it done for another month or more it's awful for the club. Pretty negligent if they can't get it sorted soon, fingers crossed

I'm here mate. When my house needs a painting can you come and help me out.

It makes complete sense to get the operation done back in Sydney with your specialist because there will be plenty of consultation with the doctor going forward.

My mum worked as a nurse for a orthopedic surgeon. She met the good JT once.

Yeah no problem as long as you live west of the Nepean river mate

I would have thought going to see the specialist who did his initial operation is the most logical move and he is in Sydney.I see nothing baffling at all

This club never fails to amaze me on how they manage to screw things up. Meanwhile Sivo has already had his reconstruction.

From Farah vs Taylor to Farah ambassador deal to the Ivan drama and now we’ve sent our best player with an ACL injury to the the state that they’re not doing surgeries.

Instead of getting his surgery done quickly in Queensland he will now potentially have to wait months for it which means he'll be missing months more of footy next year

Meanwhile Sivo has already had his surgery despite being injured in the same round as Adam. Some clubs are just smarter than others
