Since the club sent Adam back to NSW he could be waiting months to get his surgery... why they didn't get it done in Queensland is baffling.

This club never fails to amaze me on how they manage to screw things up. Meanwhile Sivo has already had his reconstruction.

From Farah vs Taylor to Farah ambassador deal to the Ivan drama and now we’ve sent our best player with an ACL injury to the the state that they’re not doing surgeries.

Stop being so negative, try to take a positive view like me.

Queensland hospitals are for Queenslanders.

Losing Adam for a good chunk of the season will be a big blow, but at least we didn’t lose our best half and if the plan was to play him there, Hastings is on the way.

I would have thought going to see the specialist who did his initial operation is the most logical move and he is in Sydney.I see nothing baffling at all

Instead of getting his surgery done quickly in Queensland he will now potentially have to wait months for it which means he'll be missing months more of footy next year

Meanwhile Sivo has already had his surgery despite being injured in the same round as Adam. Some clubs are just smarter than others

makes sense we get negotiations wrong all the time so why not stuff up surgical timing

Where did Sivo get his surgery? Surely not done in NSW.

Seems a lot of people don’t really understand Acl reconstructions...it’s actually better for Doueihi to wait a month or so before surgery due to the high amount of swelling caused, nrl players will often race to get under the knife due to game time. However this is Adams second time so it’s best to get it right and this way he gets to see his family...win win.

Absolute nonsense,if you have had an operation with a good specialist you would go back to him again if the problem reoccurs.AD has done that as all smart people would.

My dog snapped his ACL.

The vet operated and he was back to normal in around 4 weeks.

Can we get Adam operated on by a vet instead.

CCL. Dogs don’t have ACL’s

Unbelievable. I can accept due to the nature of the context of a football forum that this place is littered with couch coaches but now we have a forum full of couch specialist surgeons.
This place never ceases to amaze me!

Couldn't have been that good a specialist, it got re-injured. Poor from the club!

I wouldn’t want a Queenslander operating on me.

I don't think that's how reconstructions work. Once you've done one you are always at greater risk of doing it again, and I don't believe a reconstruction can ever replicate a fully uninjured ACL.

No but my dog did her ‘ACL’ and I had a chat to the vet about it and he explained the differences.
It’s a cranial cruciate ligament. From memory it is the PCL and ACL combined.
My dog came back 4 weeks as well, though needs a steroid booster when required going forwards.

~20% chance that you will likelly have another serious knee injury within 12 months to the affected or unaffected limb after having an ACL op.

Hope Douehi is working really hard on gaining strength and movement pre-op with the physios. Better prehab will help in leaps and bounds to get best outcomes.

Aren't Sivo and Cleary getting their operations done in Qld?
