Adam Doueihi #227

I believe the whole squad are together after training when he announces the team on Tues before it goes public

Okay then, thats cool but I'm simply referring to the SMH article that said he wasn't aware, its hard to believe he wasn't but thats what it says.

Hope your right, but just see how the dressing room is anything other than fractured. If im Benji i punt both Luai and Douhi now. Bring Madden in dont care if we lose by 100, we are anyway. Get rid of both the problems now. Andrews 5/8 and Latu 7 starting once Latu gets back from suspension heading into pre season. Hit the market for another 7 or 5/8 for depth. Just rip the bandaid off. Half tge group are off Luai apparently. Once he goes the other half will still be off Douehi next year. Bugger tgem both off.
Latu must seriously be cursed or something...has the absolute worst timing when it comes to Injuries and this suspension.

Seems to me that many in the squad at the moment wish they were contracted elsewhere so that their prospects of winning and playing finals were greater
Nobody likes losing week after week
The Wests Tigers are such a shambles now that I doubt many NRL panel experts would predict anymore wins this year
Those considered our better players eg Samuela would seriously consider other pastures if possible
Of course If Isaac Moses can involve himself he might pursue such matters
Wests Tigers fell from 2nd to 16th in 3 months
Therefore could be described as " a sinking ship "
What do those on board such a ship do . Abandon ? Jump ?
Just some thoughts .
I hope the Douehi Benji thing is totally patched up
I hope we run on to Comm bank this week end and give Parra a good hiding
Can be done if everyone finds pride ,motivation and play their heart out
This would throw egg over the faces of the journos and foxtel panel
Please let this not be a pipe dream !!!!!

The "couldn't get a hold of Benji" rubbish - i don't buy it. To be fair Benji did have the flu last week - could be influenza - I had it and couldn't work for a week. Benji still fronted up to presser last week, sick as a dog.

IMO - Doueihi is upset because Benji doesn't see him as the long-term half. Nothing says I don't want you there more than picking an underperforming player who won't be here in 6 weeks over him.

I liked Doueihi but he's lost me the way he's handled this. I've also watched him closely over the past month or so, and I'd come to the conclusion a few weeks ago that he isn't the long-term halves solution. He's run first always, and his passing and hands aren't good enough to play a flatter attack. His short kicking game is average. This is exactly why he'd be better at lock.

Doueihi tries hard - great...we need more than that in a half.

Most good judges in the media think he'd be a great lock. I've said it for years on this forum but have been shot down saying he couldn't handle the workload. What I know is that he's a mediocre NRL half. Our progression would be restricted with him there.

I also think he won't be at the club next year given that he/his camp have clearly leaked information to the media to paint the club in a bad light. Benji and Shaun have handled this situation excellently, and they just need to move forward and get rid of these selfish players that have delusional ideas of themselves...let alone ones that are managed by Isaac Moses.

To top it off, the media click-baiting grubs. Not one of them has said "Does Benji want Doueihi in the halves long-term?" Instead, they've made out this was a rookie error coaching decision.

One small mistake I think Benji made - maybe he should have waited for the offseason for the transition, but at the same time there's an opportunity to give Javon minutes now, so why not take it.

Everyone should stop accepting what the media is saying, it’s driven by Moses and to date been wrong

Players approached Benji disgruntled because AD had left
Players simply asked Benji what had happened

AD not returning to the tigers
AD back at training tomorrow

AD couldn’t contact Benji for ‘several’ days
Training Tuesday, knew Wednesday, spat the dummy Thursday.

AD not loved because Benji didn’t attended the judiciary
AD had the CEO, football manager at the hearing and the best QC to represent him

The only person who has disrespected anyone/team is Adam Douhie and if it was me I wouldn’t be selecting him again this year.

Yeah maybe but its a big statement and/or a big lie for AD or the journalist to say:

In a SMH article today Christian Nicolussi said, "He was also frustrated it took him several days to track down Marshall to be told about the positional switch, and Jarome Luai, who is off to the Eels next year, was not the half asked to move"

If Benji did do this, what does it say about his coaching?
There could also be a legitimate reason which was never printed. See how that works?

Im backing Benji.

He needs some high quality assistants around him and despite how much I like Morris & Hodgo as players + people, on the outside, it doesn't look like they've assisted.

Ben Gardiner + one of Elijah Taylor, Josh Jackson or Dale Finucane for mine.

Or one of the roosters assistants.
Let get Benji the help he deserves.
Ben Gardiner is signed for Perth for 2 years under Mal, then has the top job, he is not coming back to the TIGERS

Keep the Dream alive Wests Tigers!!!

OR... emotions were high, egos were hurt, and the media did what it does and sensationalises and calls it a crisis but in reality this sort of thing happens in all industries, businesses, companies, relationships. The mature thing is to communicate it through and repair.

Looks like all parties were mature enough to resolve things, and maybe we should applaud that (or at least accept it) and we all move forward.
Its still early days
If we lose to parramatta theres a chance it all starts again.
