Nice shifting of the goalposts lol. You’re right, Benji was correct to stick with the career back-up and known defensive turnstile who had been part of three straight 40+ floggings and was a passenger in the one close win over a bottom 4 team (at the time) rather than go the young creative half with good defence and one of the most promising prospects in the NRL. /s
Some weird picks from Benji across his whole coaching career, we are not privy to the reasons. However for me not picking Latu to play 6 or 7 when AD and Luai were out at different stages is the one that stands out the most. Would love to hear why he did this.

I still think that is because if he picks Latu.in that position he has to believe that he can last for 80 minutes. You don't pick halves with the thought to replace them and Latu's injury history needs management.
Any coach needs to pick teams that he thinks can win their job depends on it - which limits opportunity to experiment - until now when season is done again but Latu is suspended.

Latu is 20 and has been plagued with injury

I think he has played 30 games in totals across 3 seasons.. thats 30 games from potentially 72 games.

I am positive there has been an effort to protect latu a bit. Whether benji has done this the right way, we can argue till the cows come home...

But it isnt because of lack of potential

It’s been poor strategy from Benji … three years later we still know little about Latu’s NRL potential …and they need to decide what to offer him now for his next contract

Why wouldn't he. Every single WT player that goes before the judiciary gets 3 weeks. It's like the NRL thought it best for WT to only lose by 40 this week so downgraded him, because their decisions are political, not merit based.

WT are downstream of NRL so get to drink whatever rubbish the NRL has thrown in it. A fish rots from the head.
I think most here gave Adam a.good chance at getting downgraded or not guilty whatever it was..i was confident hed be right to play

Plus that fish saying is BS

Are they that daft that you can keep things in house when you are not in control of the people who are talking especially when they want to control the content.
On one hand they are they ones sharing the leaks - truth or not it doesn't matter - because it keeps them in a job, and the next they say they should keep it in house.
And we all are reactive to it and very little about the product.
How long till fans get jack of it because the product is arguably getting harder to watch.

How is he not sacked immediately? This crap about massaging the situation is diabolical management. The guy dogged it, he dogged the club, the coach, his team mates, the fans. He breached his contract. Immediate termination. Its as clean cut as you can get.

The other reasons he has may be valid issues, and thats for the club to sort out asap, most likely by getting a real coach in. However, they are seperate issues.

SACK DOUEIHI NOW!!!!!!

In the games he has played, with the exception of one (vs manly at brooky last year)... he has looked great in the games he has started. The suspension came at the worst possible time, i suspect he may have been given a chance.

While I get the sentiment, and I want to know as well, it really doesn't matter about what we know of his potential. It is what Benji knows and his plan for him to take the reigns.

I have just finished a deep dive on "The Club v AD". When I started the analysis I was of the opinion that AD needed to be out on his arse on Monday. That didn't happen. Looking at it with less emotion and more objectivity - I have changed my tune.

The Deep Diive is here - interesting to see if you agree or not once you taken a step back.
