OFFICIAL Adam Doueihi #227

Honestly he looks like he has been on a pure KFC diet. He has visibly packed on the weight and on the weekend the whole team looked so slow. Benji can tell us how great they trained but we know what we saw on that field, unfit, slow players.
I think what has happened is they trained really hard in the pre season, killed it in the first 1/3 of the season purely on effort, but with the level of training they did, injuries started to mount up, and the standards have relaxed. The coaching staff developed a style with our top 17 in mind and didn't account for what would happen if guys were missing from the line up. So mid-season we started changing our game to accommodate these depth players and it has messed with everything.

Personally I would like to see at least one more year from Benji before there is pressure on him. He (and head of performance Peter Moussa) got these guys training and playing to the level you need to succeed, even if it was only for one third of the year. Now they need to work out how to train to sustain that level for an entire season.

Kenty slurred his way through the podcast and I doubt the majority of anything the tree tackler says however if it is true that our players are vaping during gym sessions, that would be mind blowing.
Kenty seems to have a pretty comprehensive thought out story that sounds 'believable'. Almost too much information that it must be one of the players. Who is leaking it? Family member when ol mate gets home. Social media guy... How is kenty getting access to this info?

You obviously must have missed his 60m try against & his remarkable chase tackle on an opposition player that had a head start and looked certain to score a long distance try (was it v Newcastle?) both times the commentators were surprised, as was I to be honest at his speed.

Don't get me wrong, he isn't in the same group of truly fast players like Saab, Ado Carr or The Hammer, he's slow of the mark but he CAN really motor if he get a clear break without getting checked.
Unfortunately it’s that off the mark speed where players get beaten and overlaps occur

he's not a half, he's not a lock, he's too slow for the centres or backrow, so what is he? definitely not a fullback.

he dogged it for Javon Andrews debut, that's not someone who cares about the club or his teammates.
This is it. He doesn’t have a position. He stifles our attack and hogs the ball. He is a good individual player but holds the team back (or will in the future). We are best to part ways at seasons end. Short term we may be worse, but long term I think we will be better off.

I haven’t forgotten about the injuries and they have played a part. However, against the Panthers, Benji also played Madden despite having Latu available. There was also no reason to pick Geyer, who had played 21 minutes the entire season at that point but was given an 80 minute start, over Tony Sukkar who was available that week and had done the job for us before.

He also could’ve left Turuva on the wing and given Saukuru his debut but instead he went partial Sheenius and moved players out of position.

I don’t blame him for his selections in the Storm game as that was the depth we had at hooker and FB.

No doubt AD is a dick for the way he has handled this. He’s embarrassed himself and the club the way he’s responded. But like I said, I think there is a fair bit of truth to the allegations about the culture and Benji’s double standards when it comes to certain players.
Why would he have dropped Madden for Penrith when he played & they won the week before vs the Dogs?

This all sounds very specific from Kent.

Pretty obviously fed this info.

All sounds pretty plausible, particularly the stuff about Terrell May. Luai offering to step down for AD to take his spot is also wild - what happened to brothers, and caring for this club bro?

It's just sounding like the circus I'd thought it would be on the inside, but have led myself to believe that there ain't no way a professional club can be run like that. Vaping while lifting weights, kidding themselves.
is that straight vodka in his glass? what a blitherer

I agree, but I also think we have underestimated the luai factor. He was the cultural leader. They were all such a tight team. Luai would have been thinking about the move and impact to his family and its all probably flowed down to the rest of the team. It looks like ita been one big snowball (along with the injuries and re-signings $$ distraction).

He shouldn’t have been playing in the Dogs game either as he had been the HB for the past three games where we got flogged (Manly, Storm and Sharks). He did one thing in the Dogs game which was a run of the mill bomb which Tavan managed to hold onto. But apparently that’s enough to justify keeping your supposed future HB on the bench and playing out of position

Those three games were when we were most injury effected though. Bula, AD, Samuela, Twal, May, Masi, KPP, Api all in & out so not sure whoever was halfback would’ve stopped that. Benefit of hindsight I guess

Nice shifting of the goalposts lol. You’re right, Benji was correct to stick with the career back-up and known defensive turnstile who had been part of three straight 40+ floggings and was a passenger in the one close win over a bottom 4 team (at the time) rather than go the young creative half with good defence and one of the most promising prospects in the NRL. /s

I wasn’t trying to. Just saying some injuries/suspensions forced his hand. API’s weeks out is why Latu had to be used elsewhere. We all couldn’t bear Hope lol

Latu should’ve just been given the keys by the Dragons game & beyond once Jarome was ruled out.

Latu is still suspended for Dragons game

Assume we have anywhere from 1 to 1.2 million left over from luai and douhei.

Do they go for a proven player like a walker, then let javon and latu play it out for the 6?Not that I see us being able to pay anyone enough to come here after the luai experiment didnt work out.

As much as I hate what AD has done, we need him. Maybe he knows that.
A trouble making low effort lazy sook that refuse to chasEvan’s us the first to drop his head when resilience is required .. nope, we don’t need players that are selfish individuals that play for themselves and refuse to pass to teammates and cannot tackle properly .

Yep. Benji has got to go.
Spot on Tuck. He is the catalyst for all this gangsta shit at the club and the bros. I have no doubt the bros receive favourable treatment to the other players. That is why they have given up in the last 6-7 weeks. They are not aligned as a group.

Would'nt shock me. A lot of them have the bum bags everywhere they go. Vaping is part of that look.
