Adam Doueihi #227

The mental health card and just needing a week off to clear his head that Benji discussed in the post game press conference would have made it very difficult not to pick him this week. Whilst i did not want to see him in the team and would have been more passionate about it if Latu was not suspended he unfortunately is probably the only person that can fill that role for us, Javon is a 6 and still too young to play that organizing role, especially in a team he is probably unfamiliar with and is playing off the back foot.
I guess if we lose badly and he has a shocker than Benji can post a cartoon character on insta with a song titled "I told them" If we win he can say giving AD the week off was a masterstroke and he should win coach of the year.

Adam spoke really well, admitting did handle situation at all well, just wants success for the club and miscommunication on both sides was not good. He needs to be a better leader and learn from this. Apologised to everyone and wearing the heat of everyones disappointment. He said he is protecting Isaac Moses and Moses wanted him to play, he played no part what so ever and he is not the least bit involved. Loves everyone at club and does not want to leave. He wouldn't go into standards that have dropped at the club but said that had dropped considerably. He said he has heaps of passion for the club and has let fans of club down and he is prepared to cop it from the media, take the good with the good and the bad with the bad. Players reacted well to his apology. Kept saying he loves the club, felt for Javon Andrews and said he earnt the jersey and had nothing to with him and apoligesed to him in front of the players. Well that is it folks

So.if.Moses isnt involved then Douehi leaked.the meeting info to Kent

OR... emotions were high, egos were hurt, and the media did what it does and sensationalises and calls it a crisis but in reality this sort of thing happens in all industries, businesses, companies, relationships. The mature thing is to communicate it through and repair.

Looks like all parties were mature enough to resolve things, and maybe we should applaud that (or at least accept it) and we all move forward.
It's a few games out from the end of the season. There will be plenty of time soon to negotiate with Adam if he wants to leave, and for Benji (out of the media glare) to set his standards if Adam wishes to stay. Tiger Tarl makes some good points about how sometimes leadership is about knowing when to 'pick your battles', instead of being led by hurt egos or what commentators are telling someone they should do. I am the 'boss' of my job, but doing that involves backing down all the time, to keep a certain project direction going. Not suggesting I have the same degree of scrutiny or pressure of Benji though,

So he is genuine about staying now ? If not … then why go through this charade ? Could have just kept his mouth shut …played out the last 5 games and then been on his way ..

Do we read into this that this was an attempt to get out of his deal at WT and he ended up not wanted elsewhere ? But shouldnt Moses have known this anyway ? He is always talking to these clubs …

Is it really possible old mate Doohey has just had a brain explosion when he was dropped last week … and the fact Moses is his agent is just a coincidence?

Or perhaps the potential new club got cold feet about signing him after some negative publicity about AD actions ?

I’m stumped by the daily twists on this drama

He definitely talked a big game. He’s gonna look like an even bigger scumbag if he leaves now. And Benji couldn’t have looked any weaker. (If AD leaves that is. Not his presser).

Maybe i'm naive but I took what both he and Benji said in that presser at face value. He is either an incredible liar, or he simply made a mistake

I won’t refer to his pod as journalism, but what I will say is that’s the most one sided piece of commentary I’ve ever seen. If you want to talk about Isaac Moses puppet, there’s the prime example.

First time I’ve watched Kenty’s Blitz and will most definitely be the last.

I wouldn’t necessarily believe anything Kent says …I doubt Moses is feeding him information directly …not sure why he would bother when he has guys actually in the media already doing his bidding

I heard Doueihi speak on radio and he demonstrated contrition by admitting he can be stubborn. He reaffirmed his loyalty to the club. I thought it was a great response by him and despite all the so-called rumours, I cannot see him leaving the club. Well done to him.
