I don’t know what position he is best suited to but what i do know is he is an asset to the team.

The only issue with him at FB is his speed.

He may make a smooth transition to 5/8 but will need a strong halfback to support him. Jock Madden seems to have some raps around him, I haven’t seen him play so i cannot really say much about him.

The talk is we are getting JAC at FB which might be OK but he doesn’t ball play nor does he kick so the only benefit we would get out of him is his support play and hope he makes a break here and there. In the modern game you need someone who can ball play.

Also Melbourne are not silly, they want someone to replace JAC and the replacement will not be George Jennings or Paul Momo...**So it’s probably going to be Nofa...not** worth it IMO

Good point
And madge probably knows that
Maybe that's why we signed Asu
He normally plays on the right i believe
Madge may be playing this like a game of chess
Always trying to think a few moves ahead

Point is though
Is Addo-Carr an upgrade on Nofoaluma
Last year I would say yes
This year nofo has improved but defence still lacks

Addo-Carr is sideways in my opinion. They are different players and are both very strong in what they are good at. Nofa is a good shot at getting Fergo's NSW jumper. Normally Greg Alexander is our biggest critic, but when he has covered us this year he can't stop heaping priase on Nofa.

I actually think he's best suited at fullback. There are some positional things he needs to work on, and no doubt he's playing injured which impacts his pace, but he's one of the only players we have on decent money who is earning his pay packet.

I think in the halves he'd be a bit predictable (I even think the cut out pass to Nofa at the line is an intercept waiting to happen in coming games) and I think his kicking game accuracy is not great.

We really do wear some rose coloured glasses on this forum. JAC is the better player every day of the week and it's not even close.

I dunno about that - they're very different players it's hard to judge. It depends on what your team needs, and we do need speed.

But the yardage out of our half, and tackle breaking runs - Nofo wins.

There's no doubt Nofo is a frustrating player, but JAC isn't an all-rounder either.

Ha, it is pretty obvious he is playing injured.

Madge was asked 2 weeks ago if Doohey was playing injured ..

Madge said no “ he’s fine “

Not a fullback

Dont believe everything a coach says to the media

I tend to agree both our your smaller try scoring winger...is the fox faster and better than Nofo, I’ll have to say yes...can I see both in our backline I’d have to say no...for me they are to similar to have on our wings...you can cover for one smaller backline player but not 2 imo

He knows what he has to work on and admits as much. Never seems happy with himself which is good and bad, good because he keeps working hard to get better but bad because if he’s too negative it could affect his footy and life in general. He seems like someone who will need a lot of support from the coach and his players

Let’s not forget he is still very young - he speaks like a seasoned player. Mature young kid who is willing to work hard. The kid has a high ceiling. I want to see him succeed and hope he does here.

[Bloke In A Bar - Adam Doueihi](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWZNw0GUEY4)

Key points from the podcast:
- Played union as a kid. Went to a school which played division 3. Made the Australian school boys team.
- Played 5/8 at every level growing up (even in union) until first grade.
- Played SG Ball here. Papenhuyzen and Suli were the stars back then. He wasn't one of the key players.
- Was a Tigers fan as a kid.
- He became a fullback almost by chance. He didn't have a position coming into first grade. He filled in a bunch of spots. A great game at fullback one time for Souths made people think it was his spot.
- Admitted he lacked speed from fullback which the team needed. Was disappointed in himself in that aspect.
- Is looking forward to playing 5/8 in 2021.
