Pascoe mark O'Neil swap

Wasn't Mark O'Neil sacked from the Tigers a few years ago because of inappropriate behaviour?

And

If we are bringing Flanagan in why not bring in someone who behaves in an inappropriate manner like that.

Parra have

Why would I care what Parra do?

When did I say I care?

I don't judge what I do on what others do. Parra can hire anyone they want, doesn't mean I have to be ok with my club doing the same.

Our recruitment of senior players to supplement the club until the juniors who look strong are ready has been horrible. The GM of Football has been sacked and the coach is on thin ice with new assistants being hired.

I think one thing is clear that they are taking action. Sheens major strength is getting out pathways in order however, his connections around the league will pay dividends with player signings. Paying overs for shorter term deals for experience is probably a necessity at the moment.

I just hopw Sheens remembers what he did signing Adam Blair, he ripped the heart and soul out of the team for zero return.

Yep terrible decision. Blair at the time was a beast. Proved to be a major blunder. I don’t think it was the only reason.

Fifita was a lot of drama behind the scenes from memory . And from memory Gibbs lead the boys club , and many were calling for his head because he had had a few lean years . Lote was 35 , and benji and Beau had major issues because of the footy show .
All in all , the first team was a hot bed of personalities , media darlings and egotistical juniors coming through .
Sheens made some bad choices in Blair and that front rower who played a couple of games got smashed, because he wasn’t ready , and never got over it .
It happens , we just never had the infrastructure to absorb those misses . Mainly because our management lacked vision , and ability , and were more concerned with wearing blazers, and fighting over who gets first billing out of Balmain and Wests , than actually doing thier job .
Sheens knows how to navigate the politics here . Ad has always had elite juniors in his clubs wherever he has gone .
That’s not an accident .

He has also been terrible at managing the salary cap

Yea true . I’m not saying he’s some messiah , just he has always focused on juniors and developing them . Hopefully with all the back room improvement , we can put someone with an analytical brain to better do that .

I’m always bewildered at the hate for Sheens. He won us a comp and nearly 3 and all you hear is” he ruined our cap”. Take a look at every premiership team since and all their ungrateful fans are saying the same. It kills me that St George fans still hate Bennett for the state he left the club in. He won the comp when thousands couldn’t! Sheens is famous for finding Noah Nadruka in Fiji, 25 yo Ken Nagas in Moree….he know’s what to do. We’re in good hands.

The first 3 or so years of our decade without success is on Sheens.

Dennis is the most ridiculous, cartoon figure in a board that is having a lot of attention put on them due to the poor performance of the club in general.

The fact that Dennis looks like a ridiculous cartoon figure doesnt necessarily mean that he is the leaker.

I dont personally know what his performance is as a board member...at all. I have zero clue whether he is an asset or not. I do think he looks ridiculous but I also think people should be free to be themselves.

TLDR.....I'd rather cut board members on the basis of whether they are leaking information rather than how ridiculous they look.

Do you know Dennis’ story?

His brother, Col, was the original drummer for AC/DC. Before that Col was the drummer for Masters Aprentices who, at the time, were the biggest band in Aus. Denny took Glen Wheatley’s place in the Masters Apprentices when he left. He then went to the UK in the seventies and made a name for himself as a session muso, played on tracks for Rod Stewart and Gary Glitter. I don’t know how that prepares him for being an NRL club board member. Probably says it all, really.

I have a lot of respect for Tim Sheens and what he achieved, but he was sacked for a reason and it was the correct decision. I am very happy to have him back but I am not as happy he has full control. As I have said I will but my faith in him as he is our only opportunity now for success in the short term. Hopefully it works out as I really want a winning footy team.

Who are you talking to? I haven't seen any one post he should be sacked because of his looks

As much as our cap blew out under Sheens, I don't hold him solely accountable. His job is to identify and retain talent, front office is responsible for keeping it financially in check.

Apparently not anymore. He has full control over the football department.

Sheenius move.

At least he doesn't have any outside backs to convert to forwards.

Except Noffa!!

Hopefully he converts Nofoaluma into a Parra player.

A big possibility, with us paying 200k towards it

I am sure they would take him if he regained top form because he would be as slippery as an eel.

Happy tiger will now be referred to as Fed up tiger for the foreseeable future due to the club being shithouse

Former Happy Tiger

I've posted this probably 50 times on here

I was going to call me self Happy Rock ( Gladstone ) Tiger .....

I haven't been a Happy Tigers fans since we won 4 of our 1st five when we Melbourne twice ,Roosters and Warriors from memory .....

And again for the 100th time ...if you don't like what I post ..put me on foe .....my posts are to amuse me 1st call ....and if someone agrees or thinks it's funny ...yay if not ....I couldn't care less to be brutally honest ......sorry but while I have got the honesty boots on 3/4 posters in this place know very little about this game and what does and doesn't work on a footy field .........and many probably think the same about my ideas .....

RUOK?

Fine ....just annoys me when someone suggests you should leave the Forum because your sick to death of the screw ups this club is making almost weekly now ......Maybe went over the top with a few of the comments ...but this is a joke .....even if we had a Gould ...Bellamy ....Bennett ....they end up getting the sack because ***the idiots in charge couldn't bare to hear the truth*** .....

They couldn't handle the Huth either.

You’re kidding, right?

Sheens stuffed our cap on multiple occasions, he backloaded Robbie to the point we had to boot him out of the club.

At about the time he needed to be booted.

He was on $950k because of a very poor deal someone but him on, same happened with Lawrance and who can forget us having to send Fulton to the UK for a year because we couldn't afford him. That is not mentioning Blair etc.

Like I said, the bloke won us our only premiership, came close another couple of times, probably robbed once, and you’re cranking on about a couple of contracts that didn’t work out. What about the contracts that did work out? Anything to say about those? Scott Prince? Paul Whatuira? Shane Elford?

I have a lot of respect for Tim Sheens and what he achieved, but he was sacked for a reason and it was the correct decision. I am very happy to have him back but I am not as happy he has full control. As I have said I will but my faith in him as he is our only opportunity now for success in the short term. Hopefully it works out as I really want a winning footy team.

Glad Sheens is back but he should not have the keys to the kingdom. He certainly needs someone to counterbalance and oversee the spending.

This thread has been an incredible roller-coaster ride of emotions.

Surprise, suspense, sadness, joy, frustration, anger and recent plot twists like the sudden sacking of the lead character.

And who could forget the wonderfully unexpected offer of anilingus yesterday evening.

Never let it be said that the Wests Tigers Forum is a forum lacking acceptance and empathy. A broad church to be sure.

*One for the ages, highly recommended reading. **4 stars.***

4 stars with a bullet.

Pretty much where I am too mate, just have to hope it works out. I don't want a flash in the pan success like before, I want long term success.

Dt reporting another high profile WT administrator in the the firing line.

There’s only one other high profile administrator left!

Could be Pascoe, Lee or another board member.

Could be Sheens, they've finally worked out where the problem is.
