Addo Carr signs with Storm...

Personally, I'd be ecstatic if Koro came back. 90% of this board wet themselves at the idea of Pat Richards coming back. Koro is twice the player Richards was in his return seasons.

If the Tigers had Nofa & Koro on the wings, we would have the best metre gainers out of dummy half in the NRL on the wing, plus outstanding finishers.

If true, JAC is not in the top 25 and should therefore have his cards marked to not play 1st grade again. To be honest I would promote Karwhin to NSW cup for rest of the year and let Josh play Ron Massey cup

Or we can try win a few games, Kharwin isn't good enough for state cup.

Kharwin has played a few state cup games and hasn't had any real issues at all.

I agree the games I've seen Kharwin play he's been alright, some people on this forum like to just make crap up and have probably never even watched any lower grade games.

We don't have any wingers coming through the grades at present who look a realistic chance of first grade anytime soon. JAC is head and shoulders above any outside back currently in our system. We don't have any genuinely fast players either in any grade.

He's one we really need to keep. He's a potential match winner and a point of difference from all the plodders we currently have. The guys we have aren't bad, but they're all very simliar, and none of them are very quick. The point of difference JAC would provide would make an incredible difference to out attack and defence.

For 120k it would be madness to let him go. But if he feels he has Rankin, Nofo, Hunt ahead of him and potential reshuffles involving Simona, Milone, Chee Kam then that's a problem. Our team is too imbalanced with players of the same size and skills and it makes us predictable.

I agree BB. Seeing AJC play first grade and witnessing his speed, got me excited and gave me hope that the club would keep him on. Not only has he got speed to burn, he seems to have a bit of aggro in him as well, which we severely lack.
If this rumour's true, i for one would be disappointed. :frowning:

If joins Storm for 2017, the sun will still come up the next day.
Both Leichhardt Oval and Campbelltown, won't be sucked into a void and never seen again.
Him moving on could open the door for a another winger, who might end up being better all round, who may even be a over 80 % high goal kicker as well. 😛ray:

What a wonderful dream you're having Tah…

The sky is not going to fall in guys if he goes, at the end of the day he's just a winger. I think there are other positions that we need to strengthen before we get concerned about losing a winger. Remember we've made some pretty handy signings this year in Grant and ET that I think far outweigh losing JAC, we can't keep everybody.

Just a winger… Why do some still say that? A good, fast, strong, athletic winger nowadays will win you games. Sadly we don't have one of those, because we choose to let them go. 😕

Because mama that's exactly the way it is… How often do you see a winger get man of the match honours? Off the top of my head I can only think of 2 or 3 wingers that could single handedly win a game for their team. IMO wing is the least important position in the team.

My only question mark on Koro is he has been playing in a side that have a couple of top of the pile playmakers who have gifted him plenty of meat pies. Also he is playing in a team that has a great defensive set up. Coming home to the tigers we might struggle to offer him the same conditions. Although the thought of Koro feeding of Teddy Brooks and Moses has a lot of appeal

I wouldn't be too worried- Koro stood out when he was here first time, and we couldn't tackle & had Benji setting him up..

You've never seen Karwhin play, have you?

I have and he's too slow for a winger in any grade. He may be better utilised as a forward which would improve his work rate and he's big enough.

I partly agree with you there- wingers are now under rated in their importance. You can't have a 'weak' player there because of the importance of 'attacking kicks' in both attack & defense, but also because the wingers now play as extra forwards on kick returns with their runs from dummy half. If you have a good winger getting 10-15m out of dummy half, you don't get pinned in your own half.

For mine, centre has become the least important position in the NRL.

Yep. It's important to have a really good back 3.

Your centre is your most important defender in the modern game

agree. wingers arent the little quick guys you can stick on the end of backlines anymore, or a failed half becuase they can kick goals. these days wing is a specialist position.

whilst a good winger might not win you games, a bad one sure as hell can lose you games.

The problem is.. And always has been not using common sense in selections.. JAC is worth keeping especially if his price is 120k then 180k ..

Think about it for 2 years

Josh Addo Carr - 120k/180k
Marika Korribete - 360k/360k

Who is the better value?? Yes Addo Carr is not as good as Korribete but look at the money would be saved in what is a tight salary cap. JAC is one that has been demanding opportunities by tearing it up in the NSW cup..

The thing I was very much impressed with for his NRL debut was his attitude he had a go, yes his hit-ups might not have been as effective as some wingers but I will say it again, HE HAD A GO! His hit-ups more than covered Rankin's sprint, (no faster than my walking speed) hit the line and get absolutely man handled by the opposition.. Yeah people are talking about his goal kicking, but his shocking defenceive reads are costing us more than the below average goal kicking he possesses..

Come on JT use some of that common sense
