Addo Carr signs with Storm...

It's similar to Josh Drinkwater. As Ink said, why even bother having a reserve grade team if they are all going to have a tantrum for not getting their chance.

Reading between the lines is there a question mark over jac's fitness early in the season. From what I can see picking milone and Farah when fit are the only selection disasters I have seen from Taylor this year.

Wake up Larry!!
What about Bucanan? And his love child Lovett he's been less than average most of the year, chee-Kama been better but not picked!
Not to mention milone and not dropping naqama after that shocking defensive game against the dogs!
But yer his selections have been tops…

Lovett has been good all year. Im not a Lovett fan at all but even I can't criticise him year. I thought the re-signing of Lovett was a shocking decision but even I have to accept he is coming good.

Didn't we win the week after the Dogs game?

He released Buchanan. Slowly Taylor is letting the deadwood go and you criticise him for it.

I get your point but herein lies the problem, none of us really know how much input O'Neill is having in team selections atm it's all just speculation… Come on, you have been telling us all how crap Sirro is and shouldn't be in first grade for some time now (and I don't disagree with you), Sirro was being selected in first grade even when under performing way before O'Neill came along. I can't remember exactly when O'Neill came on board but I'm sure JAC was being left in reggies despite having good form before O'Neill even got the job.

Still think you are wrong Tigermac88.

The season is 12 rounds old - we bought JAC for season 2016 as a NSW Cup player. He had to find his feet in a new club with totally different team mates and a different approach to playing games. So it would be fair to say, give him a half a dozen games, let him fit in, assess him and see if he is any good.

Round 7 we play him against the Storm and he doesn't go too badly. Let's play him next week (Round 8), Oh! we can't he is injured (bad luck). He was selected in the NRL for Round 9 (not sure if still injured), on his return from injury he played NSW Cup in Round 10\. NRL Rounds 11, 12 he played. Has been picked in Round 13.

Now please tell me what JT has done wrong here apart from not play him too early.

So you're telling me that JAC wasn't as worthy of first grade as Milone or Rankin?? If you've been a fan of JT's team selections you would be in a minority.

Well if you can't see the reasoning behind the JAC scenario - we'll leave it at that.

Milone plays in the centre and Rankin is a goalkicker who did the job.

I am totally ok with the JAC scenario - if he turns out to be a mercenary like Koro then so be it.

So much for the family being Tigers supporters and "I have always wanted to play for the Tigers", I'll put in the effort in the lower grade and learn as much as I can and work my way into the team - obviously if he goes, around 10 games is the ambition.

If you can't wait 7 games to play NRL - then see ya.

Personally I think the Storm stories are coming from nursery rhymes.

Exactly.

Anyone who thinks JAC left because he didn't get a go in the first seven rounds after just graduating NYC hasn't been around a football team before. Chee Kam was different. He has been out of NYC for a while and understandably feels he needs to playing firsts by this age. JAC is still learning his craft.

I do not know what your have been watching but it certainly is not been the Weststigers games, Lovett has been one of our better forwards most weeks. Agree with you on Milone and Bukes, but Lovett has been good. Also reading a post by a person who has inside info earlier in the season would lead me to believe Taylor's hands were tied with the selection of Malone

It's quiet simple, players that come under 2nd tier cap can't always play. Even if they want to there is a second tier cap, hence the reason that these guys are being picked after a few others have been moved on.

Exactly, why did JAC sign a contract with another club so quickly ,he always was in the mix at the club he must of knew this ..the club was not going to upgrade his contract on one outing. The call on this site had been tired of signing young players on promise alone the club wanted to see if he could cope with NRL before upgrading the right thing to do .But let's just blame the coach again or maybe blame the player for being young and inpatient.

Jail, God and Josh Addo-Carr
Tony Webeck Mon 30 May, 2016, 7:05am
By Tony Webeck ‌, Chief Queensland Correspondent , NRL.com

Josh Addo-Carr is not your average NRL rookie. At 20 years of age he is typical of many of the debutants who come into the top grade and fulfil dreams born in backyards and through vivid imaginations, but he is old in terms of life lessons. All around him the Wests Tigers speedster has seen opportunities wasted and the worst kinds of decisions made yet there has always remained a glimmer of hope. When he was working as a labourer for his uncle seven days a week drilling holes, concreting, cutting wood – "you name it" – that glimmer threatened to fade but a move to Leichhardt in a physical and spiritual sense has now made him one of the more enthralling talents to emerge in 2016.

After two years with the Sharks in the under-20s competition Addo-Carr has parlayed three NRL starts into three NRL tries and last Friday night against the Broncos ran 172 metres like he was a man afraid of what might be behind him.

In the case of Addo-Carr, the past is a genuine source of motivation. The facemask signal he gave after scoring a crucial second half try against the Broncos was a show of support to family members who are currently behind bars and also his mother and aunty who have given him the stability at home to fulfil his potential. "My family that's in prison – when I was younger they supported me and I'm just showing that I'm still behind them and that I love them to death," Addo-Carr told NRL.com of who his post-try celebration was directed towards.

"The big thing for me was just living in a stable home and being happy. That's when I play my best football. "For personal reasons I was moving from house to house, family houses and that and I just stuck with my footy and ended up at the Tigers. "I'm now living with my mum and my aunty in Leichhardt. Ever since I moved back into home I've been playing my best football. [I'm] just happy and that's all I ever wanted and play football. "I'm making them proud and that's all I've ever wanted. Just to make my family proud and live my life."

A…orta know better than to let him walk.

Reportedly signed with Storm and trying to back out of the deal. We wouldn't offer $300k over 2 years.

TT said he wanted $120k next year, and $180k the year after, absolutely mind numbingly stupid if true, that is a bargain at that price. :bash

Yo. Hope everyone's backin JAC to stay cos' I got your backs. Man,UI'm pumped to see him play tomorrow. Time to give the roostas a helluva slam!

Storm sign Addo-Carr
Melbourne Storm have signed Wests Tigers flyer Josh Addo-Carr on a three-year deal. Addo-Carr is one of the fastest men in the NRL and is a handy replacement for rugby-bound winger Marika Koroibete. The Storm were hopeful of getting their man before the June 30 deadline but the Tigers won't provide an early release.
