@alexaki said:@TrueTiger said:Well fellow forumers so far we have had a disappointing 2015 in regards to victories…we have had many discussions about coaching structures and players....we have vented our different arguements as to our poor performances, the causes, the players and the coaching staff...
What I would like to say in regards to our admin, and correct me if I'm wrong, while we as supporters have been in limbo so to speak and being slightly disallusioned as to the direction the team and club are going...I have not seen or heard one word from MAYER,the board or Moss in regards to giving us a reasonable explanation to the way the team is performing and why,ok some will say it is Taylor's job,he is the coach...but in reality, the club gets my money for membership and merchandise etc and I would love to be given some sort of verbal support from either MAYER or Marina Go as to our plans and tactics heading into the back halve of the comp....lets face it if these two can't see the fan base is severely upset at the moment then they really need to move on or face the fans and give them something to at least resurrect some faith back into this club...where I work my CEO addresses members problems on a daily basis, surely an address by our Admin once a month isn't to hard to ask, just for the sake of keeping us informed of recruitment progress or financial updates and our position in general halfway through this season..I completely understand our team and club have had many problems that have accumulated over quite along time, and there is no quick fix for either of the problems, however a courteous update now and then would make me feel a whole lot better when we get a bad result on field or a poor crowd at games....
COMMUNICATION is not that hard...it's wether your prepared for the onslaught is what makes it tough..
Side note..I know there is a meet the coach etc etc...I can't go but would like to receive some sort of address from the top shelf Admin,it would make me feel part of the club that I pay to be a member of,and not feel as though they have my money and thank you very much, see you next year...
Want to know how and why the team is performing the way it is….listen to JT's press conferences after the games and previews before the games...all your answers are there!....Want to know how the WT are performing off the field...**attend the AGM its free**...Mayer also issues a CEO a "state of the nation report" to members every 2 -3 months....
Me wonders if we were winning would this post exist?
@yeti said:I consider it a major plus of the admin. that we don't have Mayer spruking all manner of things concerning the football operations. That's what he was doing last year, and it simply wasn't his job. Obviously there are now very clear guidelines as to what areas are whose responsibility. It's also a major plus that there doesn't seem to be too many leaks coming out of Concord - so again, another plus for the new admin.
As tough as it is to stomach, taking the bit between the teeth and resisting the temptations to purchase players we obviously can't afford at present is the correct way to go as far as a longer term business plan is concerned.
It's just a shame that the previous administrations didn't show the same fiscal responsibility.
So, without evidence to the contrary, I would give the admin a healthy pass mark.
The same can be said for the S&C side of the football operations. Our injury situation has been a marked improvement on previous years.
Now all we need is the players and coach to start producing efforts that are on par with the rest.
@Geo. said:The last thing Taylor needs is 'the full support of the Board'..
I thought we were on the right track of Administrators Administrate Coaches Coach and Players Play…guess not...
@hammertime said:I wish people really would let them get on with the job rather than satisfying their own self interests. That's all it is, self interest. It soaks up their time which could be best spent fixing the club. It's completely counter-intuitive ! Crude analogy, but would you stop a paramedic performing cpr for a verbal update because you pay taxes and therefore their wages? What the Tigers REALLY need for success is us out supporting them at games, positivity and to continue to buy into their vision of a way forward.

@alexaki said:@Tiger In The Gong said:I think what True Tiger is trying to say is that given how poorly we have been performing it now falls on Meyer or the board to make some sort of statement on the coach and how long the club is happy to keep playing this poorly.
I disagree..Mayer and the Board are not responsible for how the footy team plays. They appointed Taylor on a 3 year contract and he is 6 months into the contract…Nothing else needs to be said or done.

@Cultured Bogan said:Mayer spent all this time on Twitter engaging the fans while we were playing poorly last year and got hammered.
Now the board are copping it for staying tight lipped? What does everyone honestly want them to say? "Uh yeah, we're playing like s***, we've got a coach for three years and we can't afford to pay him out so we're stuck with him."
Damned if you do and damned if you don't.
@Newtown said:Does anybody in the fan base really know what happened to the money the club which should have freed a large CAP space after players of the calibre of Blair, Marshall, Austin, Korobeite and Navajairo left our club? Has the money which was paid out to Sheens when he left the club before completing his contract also had an effect on our CAP financial situation? Is it possible for the fans to have some idea at least as to when the club expects to sign new players especially in the clearly deficient centre and second row positions?
These are the questions the Wests Tigers are obliged to answer to their fans.

How the team is performing is for JT to state..he doe this in his press conferences and round previews. He will be reviewed at the end of the season.
No one promised us a premiership team this year...what we need to see is YOY improvement...and we are getting that this year.....so while the last 6 games results have been hard to swallow....we should just accept this is not out of line to what was expected.....
