We are going to Movie World Today and my 8 year old girl has no fear 😱pen_mouth: .
Last time we went she was just short to go on the Superman ride that goes upside down , so i know what i have to go on Today :bash and she also wants to go on the Batman ride .
These Days i get Motion sickness , i can't even be a passenger in a car without feeling Nausea (if i drive i'm fine). 15 years ago i would go on anything , yes i'm getting Old
Was wondering if any of you Forumers have had to go on rides for the sake of your kids and your experience?

Keep a bucket handy , have you tried any of the motion sickness pills

I know someone else who uses the sea sickness pills and says they work also for motion sickness

Ask a Dr ??

I know Bova Chemist make motion sickness pills that are made to suit your own self

1300 sea sick is the phone number , won't help today but might for the future

Unless they suit your body they will have limited success

I'm pretty lucky , I've only been sea sick once and that was because I was sitting in the cabin reading a magazine

Carry spare nuts and bolts and tell her you fiund them under the ride. If she still wants to go on it, she's a very brave girl.

Umm it's for the kids , these theme parks

Give a wave to Happy as you pass Dreamworld…

The story I have is the opposite of yours FT...we went to Disneyland in 2006 and my daughter 10 at the time was petrified of any ride...we had to beg and plead for her to go on the Tea Cups ffs...the thought of a roller coaster out of the question...My wife always says Yeah Disneyland the 'Happiest place on Earth'.... She grew out of it and now will do anything...

FT,I seen the bunji at Queenstown when I was there last year, scary stuff I got some good photos of people screaming there pants off…

I did go down the luge after we went up the gondolier right in Queenstown, what a magnificent place it is..

I dont do to many rides with the kids these days,I went on the zipper at the show once and the spiral roller coaster at seaworld, dont like getting spewed on.....

All in all enjoying life with the kids is fun, ride or no ride.......

My family regularly go to Vietnam for holidays, to visit my wife's family. I remember going to my first water park there in Saigon. You climb the tower, which goes round and round, up maybe 5 storeys high. That was fine, as long as you didn't lean on the railings, which were half rusted through. Gave me a good perspective on health and safety.

Then my son got old enough to go on a few rides when he was 4 or 5\. He took to it like a duck to water. His only problem was that he was too short to go on most of the rides he really wanted to try. We went on one though which I thought might have pushed him too far, a big swinging thing. I looked over at him and he was giggling like mad. Now he is 7 and that ride is too tame for him.

My daughter is now 4, and had her first taste of the small rollercoasters. I was afraid she would be too scared, so tried to keep it fun for her. So far, so good.

I love these rides, and am waiting for my kids to get bigger so we can try the really big rides.

Did the bunji at the Spit many years ago after a big win at the Casino

Have also made the jump from the top mark at Lake Manchester , that takes hairs let me tell you

A rope bunji my brothers and their mates had set up between two massive gums almost did my old man in , he missed the tap by a couple of feet which would of killed him instantly The idea was you climbed to the middle and got lowered down , rope was too thick …...

Scary stuff , happened almost 40 years ago , and still have nightmares about it

My old man never made a sound , and he knew he couldn't hang on , twisted mid air and landed hands first from about 10 metres

Broke both his wrists ,a couple of ribs and dislocated his shoulder

Exact date unsure , but it happened the night of the Combined Brisbane v Cronulla AMCO Cup final

It's not about you 😕

It's about the Kiddies…

Some great stories here .
My parents took us to the States as well Geo when i was 15 years old , long time ago now . Did the whole Disneyland , Universal Studio , Space Kennedy , Hollywood . Then we stayed with our Family in Miami Fort Lauderdale before going to Uruguay , Argentina and Brazil for 2 Months , visiting Family.
The theme parks in Australia are a joke they are so behind the times . At MovieWorld there still parading Looney tunes Characters and have been for so many years the place needs a revamp .

Lined up on the Batman ride Today the Daughter couldn't go on it by 2 centimeters , i pleaded with the bloke to no avail….i had him laughing at the end when i said "check with the video ref on the slope of the ground " , had a few laughing . The guy said you can go on it which i did that thing shoots up so fast 😱pen_mouth: , was brilliant.
