My son is 12 and, without any persuasion, got into it about 18 months ago. He now watches every game.

He has seen 4 wins...and never been at a game we have won.

He went today and said he was worried all week we would lose by 50, so he was happy he saw a good game and we were close.

He also said Moses was a (word I can't use here) for doing the 'hush' sign to Tiger's fans in the area he was...

The word rhymes with grunt.

I told him he can change teams if he wants, but he said "too late". Tigers are his team. At least he will be able to appreciate the good times more 'if' we ever improve.

You should be proud of the way your son is developing it sounds like he will be a club stalwart

This is the roller coaster and labour of love that is the Tigers. My 5 year old boy is mad keen for the Tigers - loves his Tigers pyjamas and everything. My 7 year old daughter is a little so and so and ribs me all the time about the Tigers.

Once we start winning he’ll be onboard!

He is really starting to get sick of following a losing team. I’ve told him the importance of sticking solid but am fighting a losing battle. Don't force your club onto your kid. It should be their choice. Especially considering a club as historically terrible as the Tigers, why would you want your kid to support us? Lmao

I teach Yr 1. Each year I track the teams and the wins, and the ladder. Last year, I had the pleasure of teaching my friend's granddaughter. I think it was round 16 when this absolutely gorgeous little doll said, "Hey, Mrs C. Them mighty wests tigers aren't very mighty, are they? They are really kittens. Well that was me on both counts....but I know many people now that didnt get into the game until they were adults and had moved several times, some from overseas where the game isnt even played

I started following Balmain because I liked the colours and the mascot.
First time I went to Leichhardt was in my late teens and I was astonished at what a shithole it was.
Having said that, I’ve entered my 5th decade or supporting and following the useless club.
