Bennet sure knows how to build a team, but so too does our man Madge.

Absolutely, he sure seems to know who he wants. Unfortunately the feeling doesn’t seem to be mutual from the players.

What was Madge’s previous occupation?

Coach

So he was born a coach? I know he was previously at Storm, and bunnies. I’m not questioning his credentials if that’s what your e thinking? Just curious about his varied skills.

I think he’s a very good coach but I don’t think people are lining up to play with him.

Avo, why do you think that’s the case?
I also think he’s a great coach and I like his style. I watch him in the box involved in every play like Bellamy. I love this in a coach because you always know what he’s thinking.

I‘m not too sure, I guess his style isn’t appealing to everyone. Can’t knock his ability to coach as he clearly knows what he’s doing, but without Crowe behind him assisting with the recruitment he seems to struggle closing the deal.

LM rejected a 4 year deal at (reportedly) close to a mil a season to sign a 1 year contract with Souths at significantly less with an extra year contract in their favour. I don’t care how anyone tries to spin it, that’s a worry.

As soon as they came into the picture we didn’t have much of a chance.

Don’t buy that at all.

I was running on hope. Which was always expressed.

Given the financials I don’t understand it either, I know what my choice would be - $$$

And the kicker, Inglis played for Souths! He is a Demi god in the community. Squeaky clean, unassuming, an inspiration to those fallen on hard times, and a right arm fend that collected more silverware than Tigers supporters could dream about. Latrell is an inch shorter but has developed the right arm fend of his hero.
When Mr Mitchell’s sons started playing footy, one of them was going to be the next GI.

Yeah, i think he was always going to Souths, he only met with us out of politeness and to see our offer.

As soon as this started, Easts said only one thing, that they are Not releasing to Souths, so even then they knew.

Will the NRL register his contract given all this crap and shady background dealings?

Why would mitchell cave in to such a short deal, where does he want to play in 2021??

I think the Tigers are right to question his attitude and professionalism.

He's signed the shortest deal possible, without his preferred position, for the least money. Why would he do that? Why would other clubs trust him to see out his contract?

Souths are still heavily short in their forwards. I'm not overly fussed if they jigged their cap around for a 1-year Latrell deal, it doesn't improve for their lack of go-forward. They are still going to get mauled at finals time if they can't lay down their platform, because Adam Reynolds and Cody Walker can't produce the points within that platform.

Inglis.. squeaky clean..... not even close

Have to apologise on this one guys, doesn't look like it's happening now...

Was definitely on the cards but AJ wants to stay at Souths and fight.

Don’t think we need him now, however would happily offer him the fullback role in 2021 with Mbye moving into the 6 jersey
