Lol

Cause he’s garbage

83 tries from 123 games. if you think he's garbage i'd hate to think what you thought of our wingers.

Bennett has been trying to get rid of Alex Johnson for 18mths. He doesn't rate him. If we were going to sign him it would have happened by now.

I’ll say this to the people hating on AJ saying “he just fell over the try line for most his tries” 1) that’s not true. And secondly same could be said for latrell if that’s your argument. Based on latrells actual metric value, he’s worth around the 400k a season. This is purely on performance ranking in KPI areas. Everyone is offering him overs. Again I’m talking purely ON FIELD performed as a centre.

And 61 tries from 68 games.

Well lets compare him to one of our wingers.

AJ, at Souffs has scored 83 from 123, a strike rate of 67%.

Robert Jennings, at Souffs, scored 24 from 34, a strike rate of 70%.

Robert Jennings, at Tigers Scored 6 from 18, a strike rate of 33%.

For mine that parallel is strong. I reckon Johnston would have about the same contribution as RJ and less than CT.

Wokesy, you need to consider, he got punted to centre when they gave Teddy a $1m contract, a position he had never played ever. Roosters did lose a lot of games while LM enjoyed his FB roll. But after that he poked out the bottom lip and refused to get involved 100%. We will soon see if the fire remains? IMHO, Mitchell could prove to be better than Inglis if he wants it bad enough. Bennet will know how to get the best out of him. IMO.

He won’t ever be close to Inglis imo. I think latrell doesn’t have the ethic to make it as a top flight fullback

Jennings was out of shape and sluggish all year. He also played in the centres for a time. Never looked settled. I think RJ will be better this year.

Regardless, I think AJ would be good pickup either at fullback or wing. Doesn’t look like he’s coming though so we won’t find out.

Based on that, where would you put Doueihi? Two tries from 30 matches.

I know he's not a winger, but plenty seem to want him here.

I'd take AJ, but regardless none of them are all that much better than Thompson. I think we should be patient, there may be another DWZ type player asking for a release.

Glenn I don’t know what happened to Jennings. When he got to the Tigers he was overweight and with the speed of an echidna.

Why is AJ not coming to Tigers?

Sorry no inside info, but was reported by someone (maybe DT) and Richardson said yesterday they can fit in Arrow too without moving anyone on.

I thought Bennett has only been in charge of south’s for 12 months yet he’s tried to get rid of him for 18 , I know he’s a genius but that’s taking it a bit far

That’s why he’s the supercoach

We need to seperate the myth from the legend.
The big question for Bennet could be how long will Doueihi be happy warming the bench.

No one is saying AJ fell over the line - people were talking about Jennings in 2018.

There will definitely be fall out at Souths, maybe not before the season starts - but there will be off-field distractions for them all year around who goes to keep LM.

Really looking forward to that.
