Alex Seyfarth #232

Seyfarth is the perfect example of why you shouldnt write off young blokes after 1 or 2 FG games. He looks like a bloke who is determined to be a WT player and part of the top 17 each week

Have noticed him lately but the realisation hit that this kid can play big time when watching him live against the Dragons, the way he monstered in defence was impressive ,passing ,post contact meters and his general attitude and drive .
He is the perfect player for the new modern game he has a huge motor the same as Twal but has more to his game , the club needs to get in quick as these types of players will be in huge demand.
I am defiantly on the Seyfarth train!

We've often criticised recruitment and retention, McIntyre on the field seemed clearly superior to Seyfarth last year. I certainly criticised them for letting McIntyre go but I am really glad we kept Seyfarth. Him and Garner show the most passion in our team.

He's certainly developing nicely, plays with a lot of passion and energy and it's those 101% efforts which occasionally force the opposition into making mistakes etc. Looks to be an ideal foil with Joe O in holding the middle of the field.

One of his early runs set up his night.
Was about to be tackled, bounced off and ran to his left, about to be tackled again, bounced off and went for a 3rd dart.
Real guts and a mini coming-of-age!
He loved it, his teammates loved it and the crowd loved it.

Growing the more time he gets..was concerned about him starting given how effective he has been off the bench but to his credit he actually went up a notch..

Keep building Alex..

Add me to the list of converted non believers.

I couldnt believe we let Seyfarth and let Macca go. Right decision.

Anyone else hear what he said to kikau towards end of the game 😆

Mikaele has overdone the cute stuff in the last fortnight. Credit to Alex he has over taken him comfortably, always happy to be wrong in circumstances like this because competition for spots is a massive thing that we haven't had for years.

Mikaele was disappointing when he came on last night, with a silly offload and then not taking the tough run that made Liddle's pass look silly soon afterwards which I just rewatched in the background.

He's always been a hard worker but just didn't have the power in his frame to be effective against the big guys. But the fact he'd be the last player to leave every training session as he kept working to Improve all parts of his game is what gives him the chance of a decent first grade career.

He'll jump on a grenade for his teammates and that's the sort of player players want to play with

I really like Mikaele, I saw the potential for him to be our next Aloiai and IMO he is improving but not quite getting there and gives away easy ball most games.

Right now we have great strength and depth in the pack and Madge is clearly trying to get Amone up to speed which he isnt yet. It was great to see Stef back last night and he was great. IMO Mikaele is in a race to find his form before Amone find his conditioning.

What cute stuff? I'd say Mikaele switches off a bit in defense whereas Seyfarth will never do that.

I think they've both overtaken Musgrove, who, unfortunately, is a terrible fit for what the game has become.

Unnecessary offloads and angle runs towards the sideline

Yeah he's a bit thick w the offloads sometimes. I figured he was targeting the edge on purpose. He does love to go left and straighten.

Who do you drop for joe o??

Amone

Has to be, pending Mikaele. Stefano can not, not be in the side anymore.

I'm suprised he was left out for so long. Just looks like he has so much go in him

Some suggestion it may be an ACL. Gutted for him.

Aloiai deserves the next 6 weeks off. If the tackle was on Mitchell or Tedesco the media would be a lynch mob.

Ref showed no balls at all. Send him to the bin and we get to use the 18th man. The current rules around the activation of the 18th man are a joke. If the foul play is enough to warrant being put on report, the 18th man should be allowed into the game if the victim is ruled out.
