I'll admit I was wrong. I was never confident as I watched him in SG Ball and thought he was ordinary then, but for some reason I saw something in him the last two years. Well he was just handed to ultimate opportunity and failed. Not just today, but the last trial to.

We desperately need a lock.

Not this year. He is a starting Dummy half. Needs to be playing a full game consistently in the lower grades.
Should be our Flegg full time hooker with an aim for him to oust Simpkin in NSW Cup.

Its not just you. Nothing gets under my skin more than seeing our side standing back 10m waiting for the attack to come to them. Every single tackle you can take at least 5 metres from an attacking team. it just takes desire and a will to win. Each new season I pray for this defensive juggernaut to emerge, but ive been waiting more than half my life.

You are not impressed with the negative line speed, the allow every dummy to look like Wally Lewis, the conceding the kick even if he hasn’t even made up his mind to kick, the soft cuddles in the tackle and not bothering to throw them on the ground…. It is really really hard to watch… they defend like an ostag game,,, so much courtesy for the ball runner.. it’s so bad it’s almost farcical

And so it should. Until we get a bloke that can play that more expansive lock role (and there’s no one at this club), Pole needs to be in the run on side at the moment.
