Alex Seyfarth #232

Hope he has a spot in the 17 next year. My favourite player all effort & will bleed for the jersey. I'd start him over Samuela on the edge & let Sammy come on as a middle & wreak havoc.
Cmon bro I love Seyfarth's effort but you lost all credibility when you said you would start him over Samuela. We don't have good depth for backrow. Leave Sammy where he is he will wreak havoc on the edge.

Red can fill in well on the edge & move Sammy back to the middle so he can become the enforce we're missing.

How about Pole steps up and fills that role.

I am actually really looking forward to that left edge Samuela-Tiny-Skelton that's lethal bro
Jarome does a pretty good job of unlocking the edges playing outside of him. If we have Red running off of him I think we'll see a lot more tries like the one he scored against Manly running off Latu.

The one thing I will give Seyfarth credit for is he runs a good line every now and then and jags a try. I think it's more because the opposition don't respect him and can usually dominate him in defence, so he is given more space than Samuela. What I don't like about Seyfarth is our right edge defence is horrible when he played there throughout this year. Yes, a great deal of it had to do with other teams targeting Galvin and Mason (when he played there) however Alex needed to be better at locking things up. I love his spirit and passion however I don't see the good outweighing the bad.

He provides good energy and work rate in attack and defence when coming off the bench as a middle.

LOL start him over Sam Fainu?? I know it's Melbourne Cup day but it's a bit early to be on the piss isn't it. Only place Seyfarth should be starting is on the edge for the Magpies.

LMAO yes, let’s keep starting the guy who was statistically the most ineffective starting second rower in the comp over last season until Benji wised up and benched him.

You can support him and your precious Magpies in NSW Cup.

Show me these statistics please.

Here’s how he was comparing after about 10 rounds as a starter. I’ll update with the remaining ~5 games he started in when I get the chance.

Here’s his per game stats up to RD21

You could also use your eyes and brain but I understand Magpie supporters struggle with both those things.
