Plodderesque a bit though???? Mmmmmm

Disagree. Not a plodder, more a workhorse. Every teams needs them.

Come on - he has some plod about him….

Workhorse is what the forum calls plodders that they like.

While the rest of the forwards go easy Twal does the dirty hit ups and he gets called a plodder?

Lebanese terminator.

Like the comment some one said as developing him as our own Finucane.

He's in great health and physical form.
Physique reflects that.
Hard working too.

Great attributes.

Im with you...apart from the supposed "leadership"qualities ,he offers exactly the same on the field as Finnucane...and at his age hes gonna be ON the field more often than not for the next 3 years
Finnucane is definitely no game changer as his price tag wld suggest

100% he has great attributes and he is one of my fav players because you know every game what to expect. Just wish that with his speed and size he would jink just as he hits the line to prevent getting pushed back often.

Impressive. I am surprised at that. Definitely need to hold on to him.

This isn't a surprise to those who watch.
The lack of love that Twal gets from his own supporters is perplexing.

For the second time in three weeks, Wests Tigers forward Alex Twal has topped the VB Hard Earned index rankings.

The underrated Twal's 73-minute performance in Saturday's 24-16 victory over the Cowboys helped keep his team's finals hopes alive and earned him the highest index score of round 22 with 96.

The 25-year-old also recorded the top score of 99 in round 20 to kickstart his late charge towards the peak position on the overall VB Hard Earned leaderboard occupied by tireless Eel Isaiah Papal'i.

Twal churned out 43 tackles with no misses, 14 carries (making eight or more metres nine times), two tackle-breaks, nine decoys and four supports in a durable effort after starting at lock on Saturday.

But Papali'i still holds a comfortable lead with only three rounds left in the regular season. Panthers prop James Fisher-Harris, who hasn't played since round 19, remains second with Twal closing in.

It wasn’t that long ago that some were calling for him to be sacked on here?

our most consistent performer. doesn't miss tackles, makes his metres, finds his front and has a sizeable motor. if he can find an offload and a decent pass he'll be a premier workhorse front rower. him and Stef starting in the front row for the next few years will lay a great platform for our halves.
