Alex Twal #206

Twal might be another one out of the box like Woods was when he started. Eisenhuth is also there and shown he can step up. If Grant hangs around he's another solid option. I think we'll be OK for front rowers, it's the second row I am worried about.

Internet junior development… "he's ready yesterday.... throw him in last week"

Haha, I'm sure Twal will be blooded if and when Ivan thinks he's ready. He's been impressive in the lower grades so it's not a stretch to assume he may get a look in as part of an overhaul, especially if he has moved mid-season.

Wests Tigers forward Alex Twal will make his first-grade debut today in the Club's Round 17 clash against the Newcastle Knights at McDonald Jones Stadium.

The 20-year-old forward will become Wests Tigers Player #206 with his debut.

Originally signed to Wests Tigers for three years beginning in 2018, the highly-rated forward joined Wests Tigers on a mid-season release only a fortnight ago from the Parramatta Eels.

In his Intrust Super Premiership debut for the Club last week, Twal recorded 16 runs for 157 metres, two offloads and 51 tackles as Wests Tigers sprung an upset win over Newtown.

Twal will come off the interchange bench in today's team to take on the Knights.

He has been good in the minutes he played in the first half.
Will only improve.

Twal is a strong human. He dominated in NSW cup and Newcastle is at that level. Good start young man.
