@Masterton said:I saw recently that they were introducing bets on how many offloads a player would do in a match. I'm sure that will end well.

They would sell there SOULS for $$$$$ .
Have the NRL as an Organisation and Owner of it's code have the right to run the game with a Betting free game ?

The Australian government could get involved but I'm not sure it would be worthwhile as they can't regulate internationally.

The NRL would get $$$$ from Betting Agencies like Sportsbet , TAB etc…. i dare say and so they can give Odds just before games , they are connected with each other.

The way things are going, this year we could do a Bradbury and make the grand Final.
Parra already their season is stuffed.
Manly mentioned in the betting scandal. Could be in trouble.
Broncos gone, just because they're the Broncos and are disliked by more than Manly is.
Melbourne gone because the original Salary Cap cheaters have finally admitted that the players not only knew what the brown paper bags were full of , but have never stopped whinging that the money should have been linked to the CPI .
Action has started in the High Court( led by Head Council, Sir Cammie Smith) to have
Back Pay paid for the loss of earnings on their second contracts.
Melbourne players involved have all pulled out of the competition for this year, saying they couldn't care less about their Legitimate contracts,
Spokesmen for the cap cheats , (Slippery Cronk). , said today that" I wouldn't get out of bed for the money on my real contract. I want the money from the paper bag one ."
The Earl of Maclean , Sir Gregory Inglis was asked for a comment , but responded by sticking his middle finger upwards. (narrowly missing taking out his own eye ) and saying that he couldn't understand the question, and we could all get Stuffed. !!!!!
He was asked if an easier question would help , but answered that he actually couldn't understand any questions at all, ever,!
Without all these teams and players out, we should be odds on for a premiership :sign:
@supercoach said:There has been allegations and rumours going on for decades about match fixing, but nothing much has ever stuck except Ryan Tandy **and a bloke who played for Balmain in the 60's**. You would have to think it goes on from time to time, greed can do funny things to people

Once money becomes involved, common sense and ethics are discarded by some.

Crims. try to suck up to Footballers and get in their inner circle,NRL players are the ones with money to buy drugs/Sex and some with gambling problems can be groomed to not try so hard in certain games, happening all over the World.
@Tigerdon said:Sports bets accounts are where crims hide their money. Someone was telling me they read some book on NSW prisons and one of the guards asked a prisoner as he was due for release ,what he was going to do? He said buy a Ferrari and show the guard his Sport Tab account. With hundreds of thousands of dollars in it, from selling drugs.

**I bet** nothing will come of this. The NRL are a weak organisation, we've seen it time and time again.
**I bet** something DOES come of this…

Well he might as well leave his toothbrush there if that's true. Pretty easy to get a copy of the transactions for a Sports betting account. Under the POCA these days it's up to him to prove he acquired the assets legitimately.
