We love to let players hit contract years lock them up before November. I don’t buy this story. If true make him stay and don’t release anyone until their contract ends.

Don’t understand why we’ve let everyone stay unsigned past November 1st. Just opens the door for other clubs to steal them away from us

Seen Pascoe fishing down Sussex inlet in October, told me JAC was 100% done. Aloiai and Nofa he said were true clubman, would never consider leaving us. Told me he really likes that Mansour, real quick and can jump like a frog. Also said a really tiny unproven fullback would be a great fit for us.

Of course this is all rubbish but to answer your question, we are totally rudderless in a boat race against luxury yachts.

If the CEO is making comments like this and the deal is not done it shows delusional. JAC that did not work out and Mansour well another player that adds nothing to our current roster. Youth is the policy we need to adopt with a few old heads that we already have and signed like Tamou.

Starting to wonder if its time to move Pascoe on but won't happen until the Centre of excellence is completed.

This was a completely made up story to make a point about what Pascoe was doing in October. On leave.

How he walks into work today with any confidence in his ability to do his job I don’t know!

Ok Thanks for clarifying - Gone Fishing well also caught nothing with the big fish at club level.

I’m all for releasing Aloiai if it means we get someone like Taupau or Paseka in return

Somehow I doubt manly will be happy to do that

sounds almost like a like for like swap....

If they're offering 700k for him that's panic money...Might be a sign of Dessie doing what Dessie does and destroy salary caps....

I'm all for fosh getting a payday, but if we paid him that here i would be disappointed.

Yet again ...lets blame the players for leaving or wanting to leave

If this place was so wonderful ...why would anyone want to leave ....and why wouldn't players be fighting each other to come play with us

No love for Madge.

No we are the laughing stock of the NRL ....period ..and it's beyond embarassing anymore

I don’t get it ..
Come to West’s Tigers..
Get paid overs ..
Do your job half arsed ..
Stress free finals ..
They should be queuing up ?

Vlandy's should kick us out .....replace us with PNG or Ipswich

I've got more hope in WHU and the David's getting us to Europe ...and WHU is literally broke

I liked you more when Teddy opted for a new smile and you threw your toys out of the cot and gave yourself a holiday. Give Alien a call and see if he can get a discount on a soufs jumper...

I'm not sure Dessie actually knows what the cap is for or how much it is...

Hold on everyone has gone off chops based on Clarkey's gossip column...

Our cap has unsettled our how whole team on and off the field. One more year of pain. When you pay ridiculous money for players who don't earn it you can't begrudge the players who do asking for the same or then taking an offer else where.

"Sources" :joy: :joy: :joy:

the thing I find interesting is that we have our discussions with JAC plastered everywhere, but not a peep has been made in our efforts to re-sign our current crop that we want to keep...

Well maybe never playing finals might have something to do with that ....maybe NOT wanting to keep a few is on the books .

seems to be the similar way the team lost marty tapau a coupla years ago.

We lost Tapau because he wasnt happy with the way Farah was treated, the extra money was a bonus

Madness if true

At the 15 other NRL clubs it would be...

Take the emotion out of it. Aloiai is a middling prop in the NRL, we’ve given him a handful of years to become that player. We hold the cards here. Tell him what he’s worth (around 500K IMO) and move on. There’s other props out there for that money, he’s hardly big Papalii.

I actually think that’s overs for Josh. I’m a fan but unfortunately non superstar props don’t have a huge market value. I would think 400k tops.

The only forward that would burn me if we lost him is Twal. The rest are expendable, even Lucy imo. Except mighty Angus. Once we sign him to a multi million dollar, 4 year deal.

Twal’s a plodder ...
I’d rather Manly chase him than Aloiai

Harsh but it’s hard to argue.

I agree Twal is now currently in the plodder category and it’s up to him to prove us wrong next season.

He’s a great club player, but if manly think he’s going to replace AFB’s offloading it’s a stretch.

Power to him if that offer is on the table. Great guy and family man, who would say no to that cash?

Would wish him well and move on for 2022. He will play well for us next year regardless.

I’d be sad to see him go, not many quality people like him in the NRL.

If he can get 700k then he should sign that contract without a seconds hesitation.

That is absolute madness.

We will survive comfortably without him. I would wager Musgrove will be the better player if they both stay on the field.

Where's the 700 figure come from? I must admit i only skimmed this thread but i wouldnt be matching that if it is what being offered. I also wouldnt be letting him walk a year early we cant let other clubs do it to us ie Stefano Fox and probably some others and always crumble ourselves.
