Aloiai

we should be pushing for JA to manly for either Sironen or schuster

We won't get any result for that. Just means Josh stays with WT next season and the playing group have to put up with his nonsense whinging.

A few hospital balls at training usually shuts the whingers up ...learn quick

Manly won’t give up anyone they don’t want to lose. Why would they they when they are getting Aloiai for 2022 anyway?

Would be fine with letting Josh go without a decent swap if we hadn't made the comments we did in the media. What dollar value is fair compensation for your best forward? Whatever it is there are lots of 0s and I doubt Manky paid that much. If it is part of the garner/Siro deal then that's something, but I think the chairman would be best served not talking about lawnmowers in the future.

Assuming it all goes down as Pom has said then I guess it's a pass from me, but not really a victory.

Will be interesting. If we let him go Lee looks like a moron again, a 50k payout does nothing to improve the performance of the team. The bottom line only needs propping up when the team is not performing and sponsors and fans are walking away.

Yeah 50K would go on Mad Monday after we win the spoon that some on here are predicting that we are in line for.

JA must be polising his boots right now and ironing his new tigers pre season training jersey about now ready to face the boys

part of me would love to see the tigers hold off a few days in regards to releasing Aloiai....just to make him turn up and face his team...
Club itself would get no mileage from it, but I think it would be a wonderful social experiment

No more releasing talk Please Mr Wests Tigers

Did the Eels release Stefano ??

or the Panthers releasing Laurie??

If Josh A wants to go, he is free to do so after season 2021

Yeah I’m a bit peeved we’re just gonna roll over yet again and let Aloiai walk if we sign Joe O. His acquisition has nothing to do with Aloiai. He should not be released unless Manly cough up someone else or some form of compensation, though honestly I’d rather Aloiai be made to stay and see out his contract. We need to start getting tougher with the tantrum throwing wantaways. Other teams manage to do it and so should we. It’s about respect.

Maybe the delay in everything is all to do with the "compensation."

Understand what you are saying but we have looked outside the box here.. We release JA and his 350k salary which frees up money to purchase Joe O for around the same price as Broncos are contributing around 150k etc for the difference... To me thats a win win because we replace him with a SOO quality player that is only 25 years old and lock him in for 3 years... or we lose JA for nothing in 12 months and the morale damage he could cause in this time is endless.. People seem to come to the conclusion that we MUST get a player in return from Manly but if none of there players WE ACTUALLY WANT want to come here whats the point of keeping him.. I bet if we couldn't of got Joe O the club would of kept him to make a statement but this way we get a player we won't and i'm sure Manly will be passing some cash over also... I personally think this is a great win for us.

I’d like to think that would be the case, but it looks like our CEO has virtually stated that Ofahengaue’s signing will allow the club to release Aloiai to Manly - a very soft stance now from the man who less than a week ago touted that he’d have Aloiai mowing the lawns at Concord rather than release him a year early.

Pretty sure POM said something like "we won't get a player swap but we are going to get compensated in another way by Manly" - I'm taking this as monetary compensation - how much, who knows?

This is spot on. We can be vindictive and keep Aloiai in reserves (adding nothing to pur team), or demand Manly give us a player in return (not going to happen). Or we can use Aloiai's money on someone we think might be an upgrafe anyway. Who cares about Aloiai - he doesn't want to be here, so he can piss off. We're building something far bigger than a 6/10 prop.

They were done as far as deals. One had a HOA awaiting a release which did not happen and McIntyre had a deal but then the incompetent management team failed to get the thing signed off
