Na, I like the continuous page

That is what taking the pagenation off does...one thread from start to finish..you can go to any point by entering a post number in the post numbers at the top..eg post 500..will take you to the 500th post and you can scroll all the way to the end from there if you wish

Maybe I should actually pay more attention to what you wrote lol

Mod school for you ?

I'd be the Prinicipal in no time.

Lee saying Josh won't be going anywhere unless the tigers get something favourable in return.

Very disappointed in his social media post.

Smith will be doing a ring around to his fellow player managers to see how many other of their clients are unhappy. That happiness can be had at WTs with a bright new shiny contract (and commission).

From his own client list, I'd take koala from Souffs https://www.sportsplayer.com.au/players

Gee a lot of players in that list got out of their contract..

Ha, wondered where TAQUELE NAIYARAVORO landed. Pretty sure we had him and Korobete on wings in reserve grade at one stage.

Utter utter garbage

Maybe it'd be more apt to say that one suspects the influence of the player manager.

But I do agree with you, Aloiai has* Matterson as a mate remember, and when you lay with dogs you get fleas.

Wonder if they sitting around the campfire one night now there's less social distancing and Matterson was telling him about his good life now he's out of the WT and on more cash. Aloiai said, hmm, that gives me an idea.

However it got into Aloiai's head, it's his actions that has landed him in this, it's all on him.

It’s not doing anyone any good with the handling of this drama. It’s not smart on the players behalf there are two breaches of contract already in the comments and then social media policy. Having a crack at the chairman who runs a large law firm is not the smartest thing in the world you can do.

It will backfire spectacularly two breach notices and a suspension without pay will cost the player big money. Matterson was smarter everything was off the record.

My employer would sack me and enforce a non competition clause so I couldn’t work in the industry for 12 months. Stay offline about anything to do with your contracted employer.

Interesting point you make! There is actually a clause in every NRL contract that players must aspire to play first grade. It is illegal for an NRL contracted player to not attempt to play first grade. By declaring he'll "never wear a Wests Tigers jumper again", he is technically in breach of his contract.

I'd love to see him sacked and not allowed to play for the 2021 season.

Don't think he said he wouldnt wear a tigers jersey again. Im pretty sure he said he had no desire to wear one. Theres a big difference between the two.

What we do know is that we have a bonehead Chair that seems to be quoting the 1985 edition of Negotiating for Dummies.

The irony is you draw conclusions about our Board/ CEO and chair and yet you have no evidence either. A tad hypocritical methinks.

The Chair's the only one playing this out in public.

The words "I'll never play for the Tigers again." must have come out of my nether ring then.

Did he phone up a radio station or a journo and say this?

No.

I don't know about you, but most normal people would ropeable if their bosses started selectively leaking private and confidential conversations about our job to the media.

To top it off, we have our Chair, who is the head of a law firm, shooting his mouth off and publicly proposing breaking a number of workplace laws and maybe even facing a libel case.

It should come as absolutely no surprise that we've turned into the club that nobody wants to join or, now, even stay at.

A post on Instagram or whatever substitute for a life doesn't equate to going public?

It seems you think applying excreta on your company and holding them to ransom is a fine idea. How did you feel about Matterson's and Moses' exits? Doesn't seem to be a popular train of thought/ way to conduct oneself around here.

In regards to the club chairman's comments - I'm sure the head of a legal firm may know a tad more than either of us about the legality of said comments.

We disagree - let's move on.

Looks like it suits him.

He liked that and commented on that on instagram. And so did blore.

Where was it posted?

I tried to find it on Instagram. Admittedly I know zero about that app but I couldn't find it coming from JA's account. I assume it's a mockup.

It was posted as a "story" which are automatically deleted after 24 hours. I you look at his page, click on his picture, he posted another story something about judge him by his actions, not what you read.

A trade with Paseka would be a nice outcome

I like the way Following the LM circus, Madge publicly stated WT will not be paying overs for anyone! I like the stance Lee is taking publicly on this Aloiai issue, just hope he doesn’t allow it to go further, which I’m sure he won’t. This is all about the culture and WT image that we all wanted changed. ***What does confuse me is why Pascoe isn’t the one leading this change in direction?*** Talking to a mate recently, he had all sorts of issues. His doc advised him to stop drinking coffee and it solved all his problems.

Because Lee has a higher profile and carries more weight than Pascoe does by nature of the fact that he sponsors and fetes such a wide spread of the NRL landscape. He is widely liked and respected.

I agree, Lee has a higher profile and respect etc.
my point is, is this one of those occasions when WT need the chair to deliver such a message? Don’t misunderstand me, I love The message and Lee’s brutal delivery in defence of the club’s integrity but the CEO could have done that, surely? The more Lee does this the lower his standing. If this turns into a dogfight you’ll see what I mean.
Anyhoo, it feels good to support a club which refuses to get pushed around by others for their own advantage.

Agree 100%. I think if you listen carefully to Lee on Vossy you will hear a very subtle allusion to what you're saying. Lee is somewhat of a reluctant hero in that regard. But best he steps up to the plate and shows the way in the early days of his tenure.

I suspect he'll live to regret that meme - very foolish move. What did he think he could achieve by mocking the chairman - a lawyer - when trying to negotiate a release from a binding contract.

If Lee H was dirty at the situation he'll be absolutely livid now. I think JA has likely cost himself any chance of a release unless we're on the receiving end of some significant player compensation.

God certainly works in mysterious ways...

Wouldn't surprise me if the club fines him for that. He'll end up losing money the way he's going.

I'm not too worried about the meme though it is disrespectful and unprofessional... But I'm assuming we know - or Hagipantelis knows for a fact JA said he'd never wear the jerseys again... Would be sloppy for the chairman and legal eagle to react with the painting CSS grass comment without knowing for a fact he said that

Agree @mikey, I see him extending his duty to the club in making a strong public relations announcement about the unethical motives and behaviour during professional dealings. No fan should really have much of an issue with Lee's comment.
It might be uncomfortable(to be in the media spotlight again) but it's been a long time coming.

Agreed. Sick of being media whipping boys and players/ player managers taking advantage, NRL should investigate and take action against agent and Manly if evidence found.

Enjoy the sideline Josh. I'll throw a can for you to sweep up.

Things seem to have calmed in this thread today which is nice. He”s definitely not worth 90 pages worth of discussion. I’d say he panicked knowing if he doesn’t get to Manly in 2021, his value shrinks big time in 2022. Oh, his problem. Al I know is now the chairman has had the balls to make a claim about him mowing lawns, any kind of release from this point should see his resignation.

Most of my mates, who follow various teams, not Wests Tigers, agree with our chairman’s edict. As one they stated that it was about time someone took a stand in regard to players trying to break contracts.

They better not let Aloiai get an early release I’ll be fuming

I don’t think they will.

**Problem is the situation becomes untenable, he has friends at the club who will back him potentially creating a toxic culture,** a player swap is the best outcome but we never seem to be able to arrange one.

And this is the reason why we always have to roll over and let them go. Very few of our players seem to leave gracefully and us trying to make them stay just threatens to stuff up team harmony, which is way more important than keeping one player.

Not doubt this will happen again with Aloiai, we will be forced to let him walk because the situation will just get so bad and be played out in the media all off season once again. It's just like Matterson all over again, but worse imo. I'd expect it from a mercenary like Matterson, but I never expected this sort of behaviour from a guy like Aloiai. It's really disappointing.

**Note to Wests Tigers management, can we please not sign any more supposed Christian players again...ever!**

Amen Brother!

Of course WT were on the other side of this situation recently with JAC. WT were respectful of the contract Storm had in place and Bellamy appreciated that. We had to wait for Stefano. We’re now waiting for Laurie. And so it goes. I’ve read a few comments on social media. Appears to me that WT finally taking a stand has been seen as the underdog finally finding its voice. It’s been a PR victory for us all, especially us fans who wonder what they’re doing only to find the situation has gone south without knowing why.

With that in mind, I’m now feeling confident that Josh Addo-Carr will be at Wests Tigers in 2022. Respect is a two way street.
