One of the problems the 'stop the guns' crowd has is statistics. Countries like Israel, Switzerland, Czech Republic, have similar policies on buying weapons (see e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_laws_in_the_Czech_Republic)
However, number of homicides, and shooting incidents in the above countries, is below countries like Australia where we have stringent gun control.
While it is true that USA has one of the highest number of gun homicides, this is in 90%+ due to their biggest cities, where the Dems are in power and where they already have very stringent gun control.
Please explain?

Switzerland has a 1/4 the amount of guns the US has

Czeh Republic has 1/8th the amount of guns the US has

Israel has 1/10th the amount of guns the US has.

Where did those figures come from MG?
From what i have read, as of last year, the Swiss are 3rd highest per capita worldwide with 45.7 guns per 100 people as opposed to Americas 88.8 guns per 100 people. Closer to a 1/2 than a 1/4 wouldnt you say?

Yeah, but apart from appropriations he hasn't done much except try and rip apart some of the previous administration's regulations, and despite the Republicans having control, he could not get the health care repeal through as he wanted, whilst his travel restrictions have been generally found to be illegal. I am not across all of it, but I watch sky news channel, so I get to see a fair bit of the pro Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon agendas of various conservative hosts and commentators.

He likes to big note himself, but in reality bugger all has been achieved and as his party controls congress, well, it borders on embarrassing.

He's signed executive orders. And he's had to sign so many because it's all he can get done. He's passed nothing through Congress, which is mind boggling considering his party has the majority. Not surprising though I guess when he spends half his time picking fights with his own party on Twitter everyday.

I am not being facetious when I ask this, but what bills have passed?

Munk is just making stuff up. Congress averages about 10 bills passed per sitting days. They have passed over 40 bills this month already.

So far Congress is pretty close to zero on passing bills reflecting campaign promises. Pretty sad when you think they control the senate and the house. They only have a two seat majority, and if the breaking news in Alabama plays true, they may be reduced to a majority of 1

One thing to remember though, there is no requirement for a member to vote on party lines. And not every Republican is a Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon fanboi. Just ask John McCain and his fellow Arizona senator lol
