An incredibly poorly coached team...

We had the ball on their line for four sets and even I, sitting at home, knew what our plays would be. Hit ups near posts, one short ball for a backrower, kick. Rinse and repeat. **Zero variety all season.**

Defensively we have had no line speed **all season**. Defensively we have been vulnerable in the same spots **all season**.** Every opposition team knows it.

We have been blown out of more games first 30 mins than any Tigers team in history. Not ready, not prepared. Lots of our points have come when games are dead and opp has stopped caring. First 30 is the key and we have not been ready way, way, way too many times to make a case for keeping the coach.

Those who want to keep the coach are basically just doing so based on what came before him. Essentially, "the chef can't cook...but let's not remove him as the restaurant was no good before he arrived".

Rather than, "maybe getting a chef who knows how to prepare food 'might' actually help with the quality of the meals".

I doubt we sack him as it is too late and there is no window left to recruit now. We should just buckle up and get ready for rock bottom in 2022 probably. But there is no real denying anymore that this team is really, really poorly coached.

People will jump on and say "but he does not miss tackles or lack energy or come up with dud play after dud play in opp 20"...

But getting players to improve in all those things are his job.

Anyone who can't see it by now...well, all power to you.

shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. it's either the coach OR the players OR the board/CEO. It CANNOT be a COMBINATION of MANY variables. Sacking Madge means we have to START A NEW REBUILD, even though we could easily continue this one with a NEW COACH.

ok no more sarcasm. We can easily sack madge, and get another coach, who can coach, to teach these players, without needing to "start a new rebuild." It's a myth that if we sack Madge, we have to start again. He can't sign anyone and he can't coach the current crop. It makes sense to get a new coach, AND CONTINUE down this current path. Yet everyone acts like we only have two options: keep Madge, or another rebuild. It's not reality.

He actually essentially blamed injuries and our "11 players out" for today's performance. Unbelievable.

Dogs had guys who may well never play NRL again, and more out than us...and had won twice all year...and have no attack...and rookies in their spine...

Madge is doing the worst thing possible now. He is acting in self preservation, rather than doing what is best for the team and players. He takes zero accountability.

Unbelievable. That will do me for 2022.

I think Madge has to go. I think Brooks has to go. But if you blame Madge for Brooks's inability to do anything creative or remotely deceptive while attacking then you would have to acknowledge Ivan the terrible as the best coach in the NRL due to Nathans "smarts".

I mean watching that doco the other night when Madge lost his shit at Brooks kicking to the tallest man on the field, i actually felt sorry for Madge that he would have to tell an NRL halfback to kick to someone smaller. Made me realise the micro managing the guy has to do.

Thank you madge for giving us a foundation to work with. We have elite juniors coming through and we have the next group of stars to take us to the next level ( Stefano, douhei, Blore, Laurie, tualagi.. etc). But unfortunately your job here is done. We will hire Flanagan or ciraldo to take us forward and get this team playing 2022 style football.

Give it up. He’s done a disgraceful job and he deserves to be sacked. He’s been a massive disappointment. Hopefully they act now before he does any further damage

I can't defend Brooks any more and definitely not defending Maguire. But after 7 seasons a coach can't be held responsible for Luke's decisions on the field. If he was making good decisions he would be the one receiving all the accolades not the coach. Luke is responsible for his good and bad performances and today's was a howler.

Brooks certainly needs help. Specialist coaching, or something different.
It certainly looks like he has lost confidence to try things. I wonder if Bellamy could / could have turned him into a baller.
